1st John 3 23 says that the commands are believe in the name of the Son, and love one another. not keep the Sabbath.
Hi gb9,

I think you lost the context of 1 John 3:23 which is talking about God's LAW and those that do not follow it do not know God...

Here let me help by providing the CONTEXT here..........

1 John 3
3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4, Whosoever committeth sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6, Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
11,For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12
, Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13, Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14, We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abides in death.
15, Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Note: The CONTEXT of 1 John 3:21-24 is GOD’S 10 commandments defining SIN which is transgression of God’s LAW ( 1 John 3:4; James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20) CONTEXT is saying that those that BREAK God’s LAW do NOT KNOW GOD (v6) Don’t let anyone DECIEVE you because those who BREAK God’s LAW are from the DEVIL (v7-8). If you are BORN OF GOD you will NOT practice SIN (v9). NOT BREAKING God’s COMMANDMENTS is a SIGN if someone is FOLLOWING GOD or NOT FOLLOWING GOD (v10) LOVE is the fulfilling of God’s LAW (v11; Romans 13:8-10; James 2:8-12) Then it is talking about hate and MURDER (v 12-15; Exodus 20:13 the 6th Commandment)

Hope this is helpful...................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten ( Exodus 20:8-11 ) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God ask s us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

I do not need your help. I can read and accept things without a cult filter. believe in the name of the Son and love one another means just that, anyone refusing to accept this is blind to truth.

the Christian faith is based on these two commands . not Sabbath. the more you and others push the 4th command, you violate the first.

Not quite it is written that on these two commandments hang all the Law and the prophets (Matt 22:36-40)

we are talking about 1st John. I believe that John the beloved , who walked with Jesus, knew what he was writing. I think he is a creditable source of truth. do you?

Absolutely, that is why I was helping you with the context of 1 John 3:23 that shows 1 John 3:3-15 is talking about God's Law because the two great commandments are one with God's Ten.

Go careful here my friend...yes scripture is true but man is not yet adjusted to it.

Christians 'mistakingly' think they already follow the 'real Jesus' when in fact they don't know Him yet. The 'sunday resurrected and worshipped Jesus ' is NOT the TRUE Jesus but an imposter from Rome...therefore to them the real Jesus has not yet come and they need to go back and start again with the 'Lord of the Sabbath who IS the real one and start keeping it with Him !!!...in order to be conformed to HIS image.
We need to start from a TRUE foundation or we are building on shifting sand and our house will collapse ! scripture warns us ! There is not a different Jesus for christians from the Lord of the Sabbath who respects His Father's Holy Day....the same yesterday, today and forever !
God bless you in your understanding !
seem to me Paul remind colosians that sabbath day is only shadow

not that mean Now change to Sunday, but now change to Jesus.

Sunday is only a name of a day.

After the first coming of Jesus, we can worship any day,

Jesus is the real Sabbath. We have to worship Him forever

so now the forth commandmen is worship Jesus as real Sabbath

You did not provide any scripture for your opinion...do you mean Rom 14 ?.
Paul does not say to 'follow people who choose their own day...he says
to follow HIM as he follows Christ....the 'Jesus who is Lord of the Sabbath' 1 Cor 11v2.

But it's your own choice and your own conscience will testify against you when you are judged.

Rest is a Command.

But its not rest on saturdays that the Lord Jesus commands. Its rest in Himself.

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

John 15:4-8

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Galatians 2:19-21

19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Romans 6:13-14

13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Seem to me Paul say respect Holy days, sabbath day is a shadow of Jesus.

so after the real come, (Jesus) we not use shadow anymore.

now the real replace the shadow.

You have your own filter on it seems.. one that is in direct opposition to the the Lord’s Testament.. that is what we are discussing.. When the Messiah said we are to Keep even the Least Commandment did He mean the 4th? This is our difference.. not that we don’t believe we are to Love one and other.. and to Believe in the name of the Son is to Keep His Testimony... Which once again is part of what we are discussing..

A person who does not believe is not going to uphold the Lord’s Testament like we see happening here... no you can go find an unbelieving Jewish man or woman who today will be keeping Sabbath according to the Old wine.. not of Faith.. but of works.. still without the Lord of Sabbath who would give Rest to their souls.. who would make light their burden.. Teach them it is lawful to do good.. and that Sabbath was made for them.. etc.. set free by the Grace of GOD when they Repent and Believe...

Of course the NC is about LOVE...that is why we are not now being 'commanded' ! let me ask 'did Jesus keep the Sabbath or not ? so why should not we ? oh I see...He did it for us so we don't have to ?

So how are you ever going to be 'conformed to HIS image..refusing to be like Him ?
Jesus was born, lived and died under the law which RATIFIED the new.....one of these days you might figure that out and start viewing the life and words of Jesus under that banner......

The moral precepts of 9 of the 10 commandments are repeated under the New Covenant, yet the command to keep the Sabbath day is not binding on Christians under the New Covenant.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me. - Acts 14:15
2. You shall make no idols. - 1 John 5:21
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. - James 5:12
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy. - Not binding on the Church - Colossians 2:16-17
5. Honor your father and your mother. - Ephesians 6:1-2
6. You shall not murder. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 John 3:15
7. You shall not commit adultery. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
8. You shall not steal. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 4:28
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. - Romans 13:9-10; Colossians 3:9-10
10. You shall not covet. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 5:3
Someones just been copying and pasting again from word of websites? This post only says you have not been reading your bible for yourself. Here you must have missed these scriptures on the Sabbath.........

God's Law (10 commandments) in the New Testament

1 You shall have no other gods before Me. (Luke 4:8; Matthew 4:10; Revelation 14:7)

2 You must not make for yourself a carved image, a likeness of anything in heaven, on earth, or under the sea.
(John 4:24; Acts 15:20; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Ephesians 5:5; 1 Peter 4:3; 1 John 5:21; Revelation 2:14)

3 You shall not take the Name of the Lord your God in vain.
(1 Timothy 6:1, James 2:7)

4
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
The Sabbath [seventh day] was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, so the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath. (Mark 2:27-28, Hebrews 4; Matthew 12:8; Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56(Mark 2:28; Matthew 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24;1 Peter 2:20-22; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Revelations 1:10 Is binding on all mankind today COL 2:14-17 THE REAL TRUTH THREAD (Linked)

5 Honor your father and mother.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. (Ephesians 6:1; Colossians 3:20; Matthew 15:4; Matthew 19:19)

6 You shall not murder.
I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45; Matt. 5:21-26; Romans 13:9; 1 Timothy 1:9; 1 John 3:15; James 2:11; Matthew 19:18)

7 You shall not commit adultery.
I say to you whoever even looks at another in lust has already committed adultery in their heart. (Matthew 5:28, 1 Cor. 5:11, 1 Cor. 6:18, Galatians 5:19, Hebrews 13:4, James 2:11, Matthew 19:19, Romans 13:9)

8 You shall not steal.
Neither thieves, the greedy, or drunkards and robbers will inherit the Kingdom. (1 Corinthians 6:10, Romans 2:21, Mark 7:21, Ephesians 4:28, Romans 13:9, Matthew 19:18)

9 You shall not bear false witness.
For by your words, you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned. (Matthew 15:19, Ephesians 4:25, Col. 3:9; Matthew 19:18, Romans 13:9)

10 You shall not covet your neighbours possessions.
Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist of the things he possesses. (Luke 12:15, Romans 7:7, Ephesians 5:3, 1 Tim. 6:10, Hebrews 13:5, Romans 13:9)

1 John 2:3 - Now by this we know that we know Him, (demonstrative evidence) if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. How do you define "keep" (Greek word tereo) His commandments? Sinless, perfect obedience to the 10 commandments from the OT? Are you trusting in your best efforts to obey the 10 commandments from the OT as the means of your salvation?
It's never been about following the law its always been about following Christ by faith through love alone. Faith that works by love is what fulfills God's Law in those that walk in His Spirit (Romans 13:8-10).

Obedience is only the fruit of faith and a sign that someone is genuinely following God's Word (Matthew 7:17-27). If you seek obedience without faith you will never attain it because this is the gift of God written on the heart (Ephesians 2:8; Galatians 2:16; Hebrews 8:10-12).

But if you believe God's Word, your faith will be counted for righteousness in God's eyes (Romans 1:17; Philippians 3:9). If your faith does not have the fruit of obedience (God's work in you) than you are still in your sins and have not seen him or known him and your faith is dead (Philippians 2:13; Hebrews 10:26-27; 1 John 2:2-4; 1 John 3:3-9).

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Seems God's Word is true; Every argument sounds good until the other side is heard.....

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Hello Jackson123

Well that is not true at all. Where does it say in God's Word that the Sabbath is Jesus? It only says that Jesus is the "Lord of the Sabbath day" (Matthew 12:8) because that Sabbath is the "Lords Day"

This is the 4th commandment here........

Exodus 20
8, Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9, Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10, But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

We remember Jesus by remembering the 7th DAY of the week :)

Col 2 is talking about the Mosaic laws for remission of sin not the ten commandments. The annual Jewish festivals and the Mosaic laws for remission of sin included special Sabbaths that were different to the weekly Sabbath that could fall on any day of the week called holy convocations which no work was to be done. You can read about them in Leviticus 23. These included the new moon sabbaths and and the Mosaic offerings for remission of sins that were shadows pointing to Jesus.

Here read about them here in this OP where it links the Old Testaments scriptures with the NEW.

Hope this helps (Click the link)

This was one of the stipulations mentioned in God's covenant with physical Israel. It celebrated creation. We celebrate the new creation. It is the one command which is never mentioned in the New Testament whenever commands are mentioned precisely BECAUSE it was not binding on Gentile believers who celebrated the new creation

We remember Jesus by remembering the 7th DAY of the week :)
No we remember Jesus by celebrating the new creation brought about by His resurrection, on the 1st day of the week. We do not look to the giving of the manna (Exod 16) but to the giving of the Bread of Life (John 6).

Col 2 is talking about the Mosaic laws for remission of sin not the ten commandments.
It is talking about the monthly New Moon and the weekly Sabbath.

where the Bible speaks of New Moons and Sabbaths it always means the weekly Sabbath

Ha Ha.

God's Law (10 commandments) in the New Testament
The ten 'words' are not mentioned in the New Testament.

Eternal principles. not specifically based on the ten words of the covenant with Israel.

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Never specifically mentioned in the New Testament even when Jesus was listing the commands of God.

5 Honor your father and mother.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. (Ephesians 6:1; Colossians 3:20; Matthew 15:4; Matthew 19:19)
Specifically mentioned.

General principles by which all men live.

It's never been about following the law its always been about following Christ by faith through love alone. Faith that works by love is what fulfills God's Law in those that walk in His Spirit (Romans 13:8-10).
But you are STRESSING following the Israelite Law,

Obedience is only the fruit of faith and a sign that someone is genuinely following God's Word (Matthew 7:17-27). If you seek obedience without faith you will never attain it because this is the gift of God written on the heart (Ephesians 2:8; Galatians 2:16; Hebrews 8:10-12).
This is correct and shows that Christians do not live under the Law.

This is true too. YOUR FAITH is counted for righteousness, not your obedience to the Law,

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)
which are a part of God's covenant specifically with ISRAEL. They are never mentioned in the New Testament as referring to Gentile Christians,

If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).
Wrong. James is talking about God's general commands, not the ten words.

If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)
No. if the Jew WILFULLY sins he must recognise that there is no more any other sacrifice for sins, it is Christ or judgement,

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God.
Acts 20.7.

Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
And He lists those commands in Matthew 19.16-19 which are wider than the ten words. Buy no Sabbath there.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
The word of God, not Hebrew roots.

Who does God's Word say Israel is?

"Israel" is only a name given by God himself to represent his people. The origin of the name "Israel" come from Genesis 32:28 where Jacob wrestled with the Angel and prevailed ...for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. Its meaning is his posterity will rule as God. Jacob had 12 sons representing the 12 tribes of Israel.

Israel is only a name given by God that represents God's people and today anyone who is following Jesus is part of God's Israel according to God's Word.

What does God's Word say.....................................…

Let God be true and every man a liar that thou might be justified in thy sayings, and might overcome when thou art judged.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He says not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, AND TO YOUR SEED, WHICH IS CHRIST (Galatians 3:16)

Abraham’s seed is Israel............................................

THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: FOR YOU ALL ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS AND IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN YOU ARE ABRAHAM'S SEED FOR YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS and IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN ARE YOU ABRAHAM'S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE (Galatians 3:28).

No explanation needed, believe God's Word, and again..........................

FOR THEY ARE NOT ALL ISRAEL WHICH ARE OF ISRAEL,: NEITHER, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SEED OF ABRAHAM, ARE THEY ALL CHILDREN: but in Isaac shall thy seed be called <Christ> That is, THEY WHICH ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE FLESH, THESE ARE NOT THE CHILDREN OF GOD: BUT THE CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE <those who believe> ARE COUNTED FOR THE SEED (Romans 9:6).

FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHICH IS ONE OUTWARDLY; NEITHER IS THAT CIRCUMCISION, WHICH IS OUTWARDS IN THE FLESH: BUT HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY; and CIRCUMCISION IS OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE LETTER; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (Romans 2:28-29)

Believe the scriptures.................

Galatians 3:28-29,
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Colossians 3:11,
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Romans 10:11-13,

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 2:28-29,

For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

The New Covenant is for God's Israel..........................

Jeremiah 31:33-4,

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Hebrews 8:10-12,
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Hebrews 10:14-17,
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Galatians 3:29,
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise

The New Covenant is for God's Israel which represent God’s followers the believers. If you are not part of God's Israel you are not part of the New Covenant (Hebrews 8:10-12).

God's Israel are those that believe the Word of God and follow it and is why Jesus says If you love me keep my commandments (John 14:15)

No we remember Jesus by celebrating the new creation brought about by His resurrection, on the 1st day of the week. We do not look to the giving of the manna (Exod 16) but to the giving of the Bread of Life (John 6).
Not sure how the above supports what your saying. There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

It is talking about the monthly New Moon and the weekly Sabbath. Where the Bible speaks of New Moons and Sabbaths it always means the weekly Sabbath
Actually NO. Where does it say in Col 2 that it is talking about the weekly Sabbath? It says Sabbath(S) plural or in other translations Sabbath dayS. Whenever the weekly Sabbath is referred to it is referred to as Sabbath day (Matthew 12:8)

The Greek word used is σάββατον sabbaton (saɓ'-ɓa-ton) n. which means to rest from WORK. The annual Jewish Shadow Sabbaths from Leviticus 23 or Holy convocations of the Jewish Festivals required no work to be conducted and also included Special Sabbaths that could fall on any day of the week that were different to God's 4th commandment (eg Lev 23:24; 32). These all pointing to Jesus were a Shadow of things to come. (Annual High Sabbaths Wiki linked)

More scripture?

Lot's of scripture provided at the COL 2 thread here.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).

Just a few comments in BLUE below for your consideration..........

Ha Ha.

The ten 'words' are not mentioned in the New Testament.

Of course they are here are the scriptures......

(Mark 2:27-28, Hebrews 4; Matthew 12:8; Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56(Mark 2:28; Matthew 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24;1 Peter 2:20-22; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Revelations 1:10
Is binding on all mankind today COL 2:14-17 THE REAL TRUTH THREAD (Linked)

Eternal principles. not specifically based on the ten words of the covenant with Israel.
Already addressed Israel according to the scripture is those that have the Word of God and follow it.

Never specifically mentioned in the New Testament even when Jesus was listing the commands of God.

That statement just ignores all the scripture posted that disagrees with you.

But you are STRESSING following the Israelite Law,

God's Law is for the believers and following of God. This is what that Word of God defines as Israel as shown in the scriptures in my previous post. The same as the NEW Covenant is for Israel (Hebrews 8:10-12). If you are not a part of God's Israel you are not part of the NEW Covenant.

This is correct and shows that Christians do not live under the Law.

You are only not under the law if you have accepted God's gift and you are no longer sinning. If you are in SIN you are still under the law.

This is true too. YOUR FAITH is counted for righteousness, not your obedience to the Law,

That is correct however if your Faith does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE to God's Law your faith is dead (James 2:18; 20; 26)

Wrong. James is talking about God's general commands, not the ten words.

Really here is me thinking all this time James was referring to God's 10 commandments...

James 2
8, If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11, For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12, So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

No. if the Jew WILFULLY sins he must recognise that there is no more any other sacrifice for sins, it is Christ or judgement,

Romans 2
28, For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

And He lists those commands in Matthew 19.16-19 which are wider than the ten words. Buy no Sabbath there.

No not there the same as all the other commandments of our duty of Love to our God (first 4 commandments; Exodus 20:2-11)

You can find the Sabbath ones in many other places. For example.........

1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)
3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28)
4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
6. Breaking it is sin (1 John 3:4)
7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Rev 14:12; Rev 22:14; Eze 20:20)
8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; 1 Cor 11:1; Eph 5:1-21; Pet 2:20-22)
9. The Apostle kept the Sabbath (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

The word of God, not Hebrew roots.

Only God's Word is true and we should follow it

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).

Here you go Jackson123, we are talking about this here. Hope this helps (Click the link)
Hi brother LoveGod, sabbath plural mean every sabbath.

in OT we have to rest and worship God, because sabbath is shadow, now we rest in Jesus every days

what ever we do every day must be for the glory of God.

If what Paul mean is Holy days, and sabbath what he mean is special sabbath, I believe he say so

the verse will be: you have to keep whirship the Lord on sabbath like Jews, but you don't need to make sacrifice animal.

both sacrifice animal and sabbath is shadow of Jesus.
