Gen 22

4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.
.

Abraham answered, โ€œGod himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.โ€ And the two of them went on together.

John 1:29

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, โ€œLook, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the
world!

John 8:56
Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.โ€

in this way: he brought of the first of the flock, and the fat thereof

maybe. an argument could be made for Adam, a type of the One who was to come, taking death upon himself for the sake of the voice of his fallen bride. probably Abel is the clearer argument tho ;)

Christ by faith. the type of the One who was to come, taking death upon himself for the sake of the voice of his fallen bride. Adam is used to represent unbelief in mankind.

I would offer. Abel did bring the first fruits according to Christ working in him. But we do not walk by sight. The gospel comes by hearing the words of the prophets sent as a apostle .

If the unbelievers believe not the gospel as it is written in the law and the prophets.( sola scriptura) Than neither could Cain believe even if Abel was raided form the dead .Faith does not come by walking by sight (the temporal things seen)

When Abel the first recorded martyr preached the gospel . Faithless Cain took him out to the corn field plowed him under to represent the Pagan foundation of un redeemed mankind . Out of sight out of mind. No faith needed.

Adam as in all will die included Cain

Unfortunately John MacArthur does not have the same Gospel as Peter. MacArthur preaches Five Point Calvinism.

Dr. John MacArthur's Heresy On Predestination
http://www.jesusisprecious.org/false_doctrine/calvinism/macarthur.htm
David J. Stewarts private interpretation of another. not the other opinion (heresy)

โ€œFor there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.โ€ โ€”Jude 1:4
John and Chuck Swindoll that followed each other on radio. (60's 70's )Put me to sleep many a night as a new believer .

We should be careful how we hear as we are given ears to hear His understanding..

Pastor John MacArthur offering of the redeeming power of the the spiritual unseen work of Jesus Christ. Christ's (the father and the Sons) work of faith . Which the Son of man, Jesus says of his own corrupted flesh ; it alone (by itself) profits for nothing." No unseen father. no unseen Son. Jesus the prophet apostles sent by the father did his will and not the will of the flesh .

MacArthur also teaches a form of a works based salvation. Based of Christ's work of faith that works in us demonstrated by a three day labor the love of him and the father.

Not of a dead faith we could offer towards him (Hebrew 6: dead works, and of faith toward God), And to no surprise, as a Calvinist, MacArthur teaches that a lost sinner cannot be saved unless God first chooses him or her as the many that the father gives to the Son ...Not one more or less.

Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Well its possible Peter was the first to preach, he was one of the first called by Jesus, he was the most outspoken and one of the select 3 the other 2 being James and John. He became the head of the church and had the most authority, and he declared that Jesus was the Christ.
