Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
We have control of our own minds. We can entertain evil thoughts, or we can entertain sinful thoughts.
James 1:13-15 "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: [SUP] [/SUP]But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."
Lust is going to enter your mind. That is unavoidable. What happens at that point is avoidable. Think on pure things, or continue to think on sin. At the point you decide to keep those things in your mind, it is sin. Christians don't sin continually. Sin CAN be avoided. It is a choice. Make the choice to not sin. Christ said "go and sin no more". That is a cut and dried statement. God NEVER told us to do something that it is impossible for us to do.
Now, to get to what brought this up. Something that knaws on me continuosly. I see everyday, and I read it on this website daily. Christians live for God, not satan. You better get that through your skull. Sin cannot enter heaven, and if you sin, that sin belongs to you, it becomes part of you, and YOU will not enter heaven.
Shocking Porn ‘Epidemic’ Stats Reveal Details About Christian Consumption: ‘A Very Real Addiction’ That Can ‘Spiral Out of Control’ | TheBlaze.com
Friends, someone that looks at porn daily, much less several times a day, isn't a christian. If they were saved, they have backslidden. God's people are a peculiar people. You can tell us apart from the world by our ACTIONS. If you never say a word about religion without being prompted, someone that works with you or sees you regularly, will not have to be told if you are or if you aren't christian. It saddens and sickens me to see how many people claim to be, or think they are, christian.
If you don't walk the walk you are lying to yourself and everyone around you. Think long and hard about it. Judge yourself so that you will have no need to be judged by others.
