You pass this test by upholding The Reborn Kingdom Image. It is THE WAY. It is The Image of The Last Adam.

Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

|| A "new man" = Reborn.

|| The Knowledge of The Image is what corrects our image that Adam ruined.

1 Corinthians 15:49
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

|| We are "borne the image of the earthy" ...then, somehow bear the new Image after we are Reborn ...Quickened.

|| "image of the heavenly" is the Image of the Kingdom of Heaven ...Kingdom of GOD is the Kingdom of Heaven.

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

|| “glory to glory” is being Sanctified.
nope

Jesus is the WAY...there is no other way

no test

the Bible is not the Koran or any other religious text without salvation

your are works oriented and know nothing of grace or God's salvation as anyone can see

When you sin you are refusing JESUS' Blood to correct your image.

so someone wants to discuss salvation....or what they call a plan for salvation

turns out that person cannot identify as being saved but wants to discuss it

along comes someone who does their vile best to throw off the discussion and mock Christianity

worse part, is that he gets people to try and do one better instead of refuting his blabbering

for some, it could be life or death. what does the Bible have to say about salvation?

only one thing. that is the one subject that should be spoken of and not all this sinless garbage, which is a lie from the nether regions and not all this image phoniness because someone else has no idea of what salvation actually is

the saved should speak of their Savior. praise Jesus!

Could you have the image of the beast right now if you are not letting GOD Form you to His Image?

JESUS Lived His whole Life Sinless ...i've only been doing it for a year or so ...through Him!

Do you use the same excuse over and over again right before you sin? You gave into your animal side ...the beast.

Do you say, "oh, i have cherry picked Scripture, that i misinterpret, that says i can sin."?

Who do you think you are fooling?

You are either a Pillar of GOD'S Kingdom or you sin with self-idolatry for satan's kingdom (worldly babylon).

You are not a Child of GOD if you are sinning. HOLY SPIRIT Oil can't be in a corrupted Temple.

With JESUS as The Head of The Body of CHRIST, we use Him as a periscope to see beyond the veil of death (satan's kingdom / worldly babylon / self-idolatry).

You have no idea what i'm talking about when you have sin in your life. You eat from the wrong tree and blinded yourself.

Children of GOD can perceive The Narrow Path of SALVATION (The Kingdom of GOD / Tree of LIFE).

You pretend to be a Child ...when you are a tare. You can only handle the literal because GOD isn't Reading It to you. You are stuck on your animal side.

The whole reason this place exists if for GOD to find people His Presence can be around ...do you really think you have anything to do with that?

We are Reborn into The Body of CHRIST ...The Kingdom. What part of that statement sounds like sin is allowed?

What do you think satan is tempting you with? Obviously it is to fall out of The Holy Body ...to ruin your Image ...with some horns.

Does anyone get what it takes to actually hold The Reborn Image that SAVES?

How can JESUS Represent you on The Cross unless you have His Image (Blood)?

Do you want GOD to know you at Judgment or not?

The Garden is the mind ...temptation happens there. GOD Breathed an Image into Adam (us as a baby). sin ruins it, we need The Reborn Image CHRIST Made for us to pass this test.

I would say if we need mercy this is a good place to begin a foundation

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom.

For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:36-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the judgement we apply to other people is going to be what we receive in spades.

we should live by that law of liberty because all of us will need mercy when facing our judgement

“So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭

mercy is what every human needs to be saved because we have all sinned at some point we want to express the type of judgement Jesus taught mercy towards others and repentance towards our own self and actions
I can agree with that last statement, "mercy is what every human needs to be saved because we have all sinned at some point we want to express the type of judgement Jesus taught mercy towards others and repentance towards our own self and actions." However the rest of your post focused on the mercy WE should show. What about the mercy of God towards sinners?

are you asking for yourself?

you state you are unsure of your spiritual status in your bio
Thanks. I probably should change that. But the only options under "Spiritual Status" were:
Christian
not Christian (or not saved)
Unsure

Since I have on some things departed with mainstream Christianity, which gets a lot of pushback from many Christians, I am "unsure" of what to say to that question. However of my spiritual status before God I am sure: I am Saved. And that salvation depends not on me (fortunately), and not on others opinions of me (to some of their consternation), but on Jesus the Christ and Him crucified, raised on the third day, ascended and now seated with the Father.

But it is for me, yes. I buy Bibles by the case (ESV Large Print), pocket magnifiers and scripture bookmarks. Then I put a plan of salvation with page numbers in them, highlight the referenced scriptures, and give these out as a ministry to a friend who helps the homeless, another who reaches out to migrant workers, and an AoG church where I used to attend (and still do periodically, though my wife and I are looking since she too is a Baptist). I also give them to the assembly I meet with on Shabbat (the biblical Sabbath). And of course I give them when I witness. However I am not the worlds' greatest evangelist (by a long shot). So I figure if I can help others that is something.

But I am preping a new case of Bibles, and thinking of maybe improving my PoS. So yeah, any help appreciated. And I do keep controversy out of the PoS. Salvation is the issue, not details about what I believe.

They are never going to get Elected unless they try and cut sin from their lives ...you are giving them excuses to continue sinning.
"These are responses to having been given the gift of eternal life.. not the means by which it is given."

I think what he is saying, and I agree is that works cannot save us. Only a repentant heart before a merciful God accomplishes that. The changes in our life and the works we do come after and are because of our salvation.

That is key in trying to get through to the lukewarm. To Believe in JESUS is to LIVE IT.
Christians need to remember that believers are given "talents" at the new birth. Some are given much while others have little. God's intent is that the one with much is an encouragement to the one with little. What are the "talents"? Not what we might think. Some have a great zeal for God's word from almost day one. Others have a heart for people. Some are intercessors, others leaders. Others struggle to keep their head above water.

The leadership needs to be sensitive to the needs of the weak especially. A proud and critical heart just puts them down and refuses to help them. That's not loving the brethren.

Brother do you believe salvstion is about what Jesus said ? Or what Moses said ?
You absolutely cannot separate the two! God told Moses what to say. Moses, at the unction of "The Word" defined what is sin. Then that same Word came to provide a way for us as sinners. Without Moses and the knowledge of what sin is there would be no need for redemption. Without Torah instructions to what would we be held accountable? My Bible has 66 books, and I believe every word on every page. I also then have to agree with this:

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The only scripture they had when that was written was the Old Testament, which included the books of Moses. And it does say "All."

Are you one of these people trying to uphold the Old Covenant? Do you realize you are saying JESUS didn't do anything?

My last brings up another question: Where should one look for scriptural references?

I typically use both Old and New Testament references. I have made plans that just use one or the other (yes, I have an OT PoS, but I've never used it). The ones I have used cover the length and breadth of scripture. I like to start people out with the idea there is a bigger Bible than just one testament.

Does anyone focus on just the NT? Or maybe just one book, like the "Roman Road" plan? How does that work for you?

It sounds like Calvinism to me. There isn't a mystery to who GOD Elects. You either physically die as His Child ...or you don't. So maybe try cutting sin from your life.

Yeah, Spiritual Fruits ...we have access to the Tree of LIFE right now because The Kingdom is now.

The hard part is figuring if some of these "Christians" are even on the radar screen.

Did you read anything else in this thread?

I am one of those who believes the new did not cancel the old. And you do not "realize" what I, or apparently most here are saying. You like to argue.

I believe God does not lie, then or now.

I believe God does not change. He said it in the OT and in the NT.

I believe salvation has been he same since Adam bit into the "apple" (sic.). It is and always has been "by grace through faith" and nothing more.

I do believe "faith without works is dead," but those works are the RESULT OF salvation and not the CAUSE OF it.

And yes, I do keep almost all of the instructions in Torah, the five Books of Moses. It is not that difficult, especially if you are already modeling your life on Jesus, Himself a Torah observant Jew. I was convicted to do so as a result of my salvation and subsequent walk with the Lord. So I do.

I'm one of *T*H*O*S*E* believers. One who does what God tells him to do. One whose faith and trust are in God.

Thanks. I have on my shelf in front of me an Interlinear which shows that. I also have a Strong's Concordance; Vines, Thayer, and Brown/Driver/Brigs Lexicons; dictionaries, Bibles, reference books ... and I have several pages bookmarked on my computer. I got that covered! Blue Letter Bible is one of the pages, by the way. But appreciate the help.

You are saying JESUS didn't Fulfill anything. You just pretend JESUS has anything to do with The Bible. To uphold the Old Covenant is to say you don't want the New One ...you know ...the one Written to our hearts?

Hebrews 8:13
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 9:10
Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them UNTIL THE TIME OF REFORMATION.

Galatians 3:19
Wherefore then serveth the law? IT WAS ADDED BECAUSE OF TRANSGRESSIONS, TILL THE SEED SHOULD COME to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Galatians 3:25
But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Well, I was raised Southern Baptist, so I probably have some Calvinist tendencies. John C wasn't all wrong, but I do work on removing a lot of his influences from my life.

So maybe try cutting sin from your life.
Yeah, I work on that too, and pray for help every day.

It's a work in progress.

The Mosaic Law was meant to point out JESUS who Fulfilled them in Totality. The Pharisees changed it to the point where you couldn't see that it was Pointing to JESUS. JESUS wanted them to see He was the one Fulfilling It. People thought they were fulfilling it themselves and thus self-righteous.

Everyone wants to accuse me of being self-righteous ...but i'm doing it through His Image ...it's what we are supposed to do for SALVATION.
