Father God, we lift up our beloved brother Levi & his family in prayer and the people in his country who are experiencing a horrid heat wave and illness resulting from such extreme weather. Lord, You cover us with Your feathers in protection like a bird does with its chicks. We can absolutely take shelter in You, Father. We pray that for Levi and the people of India, and that they soon be refreshed by cooler weather & more rain. We thank you Faithful Father for hearing and answering all of our prayers. Amen!

Father, i pray that those warriors of the light, those who wage righteous wars, would find strength to stand firm and abide in you, trusting your guidance for every provision, for every just course of action. Grant them discernment and pure hearts to be able to seek your face and strike true with your counsel in every dark circumstance, through every trial of the enemy. Defend them, be their rock and their fortress. Let them not be put to shame, nor let their enemies triumph over them. Be their hope and help them to remember that they stand for the cause of your perfect love ultimately rather than a desire to be correct or powerful. Help them endure so that their children and their children's children for many generations have everything children need to succeed abundantly in life, as well as legends to hand down one to the next of the deeds of valor of those you have ordained.

Lord, I appreciate you're different avenues for making sure I get what you're telling me. I wish I was a fast learner, but your way works even better than that. You made sure I got the purpose of the lesson before taking me through it this time.
I really can't quit smoking. I tried several times in the last year and none of those tries worked, so you certainly gave me the purpose of the lesson before the lesson.
And I know I shouldn't be shocked every time you do something wonderful for me, but I still am. So, thank you so much. After firmly grasping I canNOT quit smoking for more than seven hours on my own, you've shown me you can get me to quit smoking for over 50 hours now. Thanks for reminding me about asking for more grace, every time my brain thinks one tiny stupid little, "maybe just one to celebrate."
And, wow! Quadruple surprise all in one day --
1. Still not smoking.
2. Made it through pain specialist appointment and all the way across the city in morning traffic without dying from the pain.
3. Able to clean the toilet today.
4. Finally getting someone to remove that one stitch John had for all this time without it being a federal case again.
Particularly cleaning the toilet. That's another miracle, because all that sitting up should have put me over the edge. So, thank you, Lord, that of all things helping to get through this, the thing I hate doing the most is the very thing that gives me more trust you are getting me through. Who knows? Maybe I'll smile whenever I clean a toilet just remembering how well today is going.
We both know that would be a miracle too. lol
Please use today to remind me to trust you more for tomorrow and the next few weeks of tomorrows. If I'm getting the signs right, you planned me to quit smoking now specifically to give me time to get what needs to be done in time.
