[h=3]Ephesians 1:4[/h]King James Version (KJV)

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

i don't think people fully understand or aware how much this means to us that have been chosen, that God predestinated us before the foundation of the world, it's like when the word of God reaches that predestinated person something ignites inside of them and they have to find anwsers, look at the pagan princess in solomon time, when the news of something great is among people, something in her heart lit up she just had to find out what it is no matter what, she crossed an entire desert to find the anwser, look how important predestination is we are all spiritually blind without christ, it's like having amnesia and you don't know what is the truth but when you receive that calling that you don't understand or can't see you just simply must find the anwser so you begin to thirst for something that you knew but you forget you knew but you must find out about it, now if that isn't predestination i don't know what is, if anyone go and tell a non believer that there is a hidden spiritual world among us that is our final destination they would just laugh in your face and call you crazy, but when you feel the word of God, like the princess from solomon time you begin to thirst for God until you get anwsers, this was just on my mind so i wanted to share this and to say how greatful i am that God choose to predestinate us to be his sons and daughters through christ, God bless

1. In my opinion, you shouldn't have a picture of Jesus Christ as your avatar.
2. Did no one teach you the concept of using periods to end sentences?
3. So we were predestined to believe in God. I find that hard to believe.

Hosea 6:6For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.

John 10:14
“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me

John 10:16
I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

John 21:16
Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

(1) in my opinion you shouldn't have a letter J for your avatar either. you can see that my opinion is not correct simply by virtue of being my opinion.

(2) good point.

(3) Ephesians 2:10

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. "

well it doesn't matter what you believe, it's what the word of God says and i was speaking from experience also, and why shouldn't i have a picture of Jesus does it offend you?

Also Ephesians 1:3-6

" Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. "

personally i find a lot of the riches of His lovingkindness hard to believe.

help thou my unbelief!

you have no idea how true this is, when i first experience God i didn't know what it was but i began to hunger to find out the truth about what this feeling is, it was like he was calling me and i was going towards his voice until i met him

Josh...I agree with scripture. It was God's plan from the beginning, even as the scripture reads before the world was created that we should receive him. It is the power of sin in this world, the devil's influence, lack of faith, lack of knowledge and that many do not realize that God and his power is greater than the power of the devil. Do not be concerned with the comments of John S...(except to keep him in your prayers).

Romans 8:29-30

"
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. "

how great is our God??

i was like Jonah; i tried to escape what He had called me for, and He sent a whale to swallow me up, where He taught me patience, and humility.
like Jonah, He then taught me mercy, and grace, and again, humility.

i was like Peter; i said "i will not deny you" -- and again He taught me humility, and taught me to trust Him, that my strength is His strength, manifest in my weakness. i was like David, and He showed me that "a broken spirit & a contrite heart" are an acceptable sacrifice.

i was like the prodigal son; in squalor and shame, but the remembrance of my home in Him was buried in my heart, and He ran to embrace me when i reached the horizon.

Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Humanism -- in every belief men are lost in the dark and must search for a far-away god or unattainable enlightenment, but we have a Shepherd that searches us out in the dark, finds us, and brings us back to the safety of His tents!!
