cookie monster is awesome, and elmo is fun.
But being an "educational program" I don't recall any of this ever being corrected. In fact the "adults" (as far as I can recall) never corrected Elmo on his word choice
ELMO: "Elmo sad"
ADULT: "Oh, Elmo's sad? Why is Elmo sad"
instead of saying " Oh, YOU'RE sad? Why are YOU sad?"
not correcting a childs misuse of words actually does MORE harm to them than good.
But hey, if red and blue furry puppets can choose how they're referred to then why can't people?
then again, there are SEVERAL issues Sesame Street has failed to address under the premise of EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMING.....

They’re also not mocking the characters. They do explain proper speech in other segments.

yes, but with children "other segments" doesn't fix the issue
"Johnny wants a cookie"
"Oh Johnny wants a cookie, okay. here you go"............
20 minutes later, or 2 days later you can not go back and say
"Oh Johnny, earlier you referred to yourself using your name. That's not correct.... you need to say "I want a cookie" not "johnny wants"
Johnny's just going to look at you confused.

You do have a point. However, this might partly be because they can’t tailor the show to every specific child

all the more reason when the adults are talking with cookie and elmo or whomever to use the CORRECT language (as one should do "in real life") (because when they reach school age still talking like that, the schools in no way shape or form will correct them)
but enough on that.

I still think that is a less serious error than confusing male/female, though.

Of course.
What’s that got to do with the price of eggs in Chad?
what i mean to point out is that, we know that 'the Way is narrow & few find it' -- so that there are many more in the world than there are in Christ. therefore we should expect that the majority of America is immoral and hates the things of God. if we see this country's laws and government reflecting the vanity, lies and debauchery of the world that America is very much part of, then this is 'democracy in action' -- it is democracy doing what democracy is supposed to do.

democracy is built on this premise: "vox populi, vox dei" which means, 'the voice of the people is the voice of god'
that premise is a lie from the pit of hell. it is the basis of democracy.

if we want to legislate moral behavior and form laws requiring people to put on an outward show of righteousness, what we want is a totalitarian autocracy, not democracy.
if the nation becomes mroe and more wicked and enacts laws that enable all that wickedness, then democracy is working.

if you love democracy you should be overjoyed, not angry, when your views are not adopted & imposed on the majority of the nation.
if you're a Christian you are the minority. your voice is heard but it does not overrule the 'vox populi'

Hello! My apologies if this is the wrong forum, please point me to the right one if it’s not.
Okay, I‘ve read a lot on here and the Internet in general about using other’s gender pronouns. For example, if a friend asks you to refer to them as “she/her” rather then “he/him” I understand the multiple options on this, so I’m not really asking about that, but maybe the two are intertwined, I don’t know.

My question is, what about a Christian choosing their own pronouns?
I’ve never felt comfortable being refered to as “she/her”(no, I’m not changing my gender because I do believe God knew what my gender was when He made me) and I‘ve been thinking of changing to “she/they” for a long time. I want to honour God but I really am annoyed by “she/her”, and “she/they”(in my opinion) keeps my female identity. Advice?
I don’t really see an issue with wanting to use she/they pronouns for yourself.

I don’t agree with someone male changing their pronouns to she/her or someone female changing their pronouns to he/him. I believe in their freedom to change it if they wish.

What do you find uncomfortable about she/her pronouns if I may ask?

I just strongly dislike being called a girl. It feels unnatural, wrong even, though I’ve used she/her my whole life. I feel more comfortable with she/they or they/them, but I feel they/them shows that I’m non-binary, and I don’t want that.

Maybe Heaven will be non-binary too. I am REALLY confused about why people jumped all over you like that. I thought that was what was really weird. God bless you.

People have differing views, as long as they’re respectful, that’s okay. Thank you for bringing your thoughts to the discussion. God bless you as well

I know it’s long, but I think this might help you understand my confusion
Interesting article. It was telling to see how the account of an unapologetic marxist so closely aligns with the official narrative. That really shows who it is that writes the histories. There was one part of the article that confirmed something that I've previously pointed out on this site. I got yelled at for mentioning it, yet I'll guarantee no one will have a problem with it if a marxist says it. It's because that's what they're used to hearing and that's how they're used to hearing it.

Anyway... so what's the confusion? Was that just your way of saying that you're gay and that's why you want different pronouns? Or is it something completely different??

I’m assuming you’re speaking about the homosexual members of the party, such as Harry Hay. Yes, at one point last century, homosexuality and communism were related, but not all communists were homosexual and not all homosexuals were communist. However, please note the sentence in the third-to-last paragraph: “Unfortunately, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, which describes itself as the successor of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, has gone back in time in supporting the reactionary homophobic policies of the anti-Communist and anti-Soviet Putin government, which it claims to oppose.”

No, I am not gay(and the term is lesbian for females). It was honest and genuine confusion to your opinion that I was a communist.

Hello! I've been reading this thread for 2 days already (I mean not continuous but I keep on visting on here 😁) I am no English so a long conversation will be very hard for me lol. It got me confused why her or girl for you is so uncomfortable...may I ask why ...? Thank you 🤗

How about if somebody calls you hey woman! Or hey female! Are you OK with that 🤔 why is it unnatural and wrong? when someone calls you girl? because I have a group of friends we call each other girl or gurl we greet each other in the morning, afternoon evening with hey girl are you coming with us on Sunday? Hey girl are you busy?I used to it already that hearing them calling me girl is nice...😊 thanks in advance for your reply 🤗

It is an interesting conversation! Maybe this will help: have you ever put on a sweater or some piece of clothing and it just didn’t fit right? Not that it was too large or too small, it just felt wrong? That how she/her feels for me.

I know it should fit, it should feel right, there’s nothing suggesting otherwise, but it doesn’t. I don’t get called girl by my close friends, but I have a lot of relatives who always say ”She’s so pretty! What a pretty girl!” I understand they love me, and I’m grateful for them, but I get that feeling.

An example is this: for my sixteenth birthday, my very social grandmother wanted me to have an actual formal party, puffy dresses, tuxedos, everything. Which is lovely, but
1. I didn’t/don’t have that many friends
2. I understand the dresses are pretty, and please excuse my bluntness, but I would not be caught dead in one. My mother has so many stories of me as a child refusing to wear a dress for church, so this is nothing new.

Your English is pretty good! What‘s your language?

1. Glad to hear you're not a lesbo. They are most always revolting. The only ones that aren't disgusting are the Hollywood types that they push on us to trick us into accepting the whole concept.

2. I don't think you're a communist. You are supporting cultural marxists though. Most likely unwittingly so.

3. That sentence in the third to last paragraph is funny. Communists love to have gays on their side during their revolutionary phase. But once they've taken over and start to consolidate power, then communist leadership will typically kill off those same gays that previously supported them. Why? Because communists aren't dumb. They know that gays are toxic to society. So they promote gays where their enemies are in charge and they suppress gays where communists are in charge.

4. Your assumption was incorrect. The point of my mentioning it was not to get you to guess what it was. The point of my mentioning it was to draw attention to the fact that everything we've ever been taught in school has basically come from the perspective of a marxist propagandist.

Person, fellow human being, child of God, why? Why do you feeling the need to degrade others? Putting aside the topic for just a moment, why?

Thank you, I’ll look into that.

I admit you have a point. However, I’m not sure if that’s limited to gays or the communist party, as that could be applied to any leader who wanted to gain power.

I understand, my apologies. Do you literally mean everything? I mean this with no sarcasm or disrespect, but I feel at least the basic principles, such as 1+1=2, isn’t Marxist propaganda

I used to be very "live and let live". You probably don't believe that. But it's true. But I am now exhausted with their degeneracy getting pushed on us 24/7. I hate what they're doing to our society. I've seen what it's done to actual people I know. It's utterly toxic. That's why I'd do anything to try to snap you out of that, including "degrading" you. I know it makes me look bad. I know it makes you feel bad. But if it helps to shake you (or anyone) out of those spells, then it's worth it. I'm not here to win any popularity contests.

Thank you, I’ll look into that.
Check this out. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.

Correct. Not limited to Communists. God mandated to the Israelites that gays be killed also.
And you are also correct that it's not just gays. There are other discivilizational groups that historically get crushed when leaders don't want their nations getting brought down by their corrosive influences.

You're not stupid. I am very aware that you are aware that I don't mean 1+1=2.

I do not understand this for it makes no sense for you are a she, her if you are female.

In the the Lord there is no male and female because they are equal in the Lord for the only thing that separates a male and female is the flesh and the soul and spirit are the same and when they put off the flesh they are the same and the glorified body is the same which is why Jesus said they do not marry in heaven but will be like the angels which the angels have no gender and they have masculine names for they are greater than people until the saints receive their glorified body then the saints are greater than them which is why the angels desire to look in to the salvation of the saints for they will have a higher position in heaven than the angels who are ministering spirits to those who are saved.

In the Lord a male and female are equal and no gender in the spiritual realm but according to the flesh a male is a he, him, and a female is a she, her.

In the Bible He, Him is used for God so it is not wrong to be called she, her.

Your identity according to the flesh is a she, her, but in the Lord there is no male or female but a saint of God and there is no gender in heaven for the glorified body is the same.

Looking back on your previous posts, that actually makes sense. Thank you for assisting.

It was an interesting read and I see your point that I appear to be supporting cultural Marxism. Based on the definition, I don’t believe I am. I don’t think society is a power struggle between different groups, maybe between individuals but their cultural background is irrelevant in that regard. I don’t understand what’s wrong with complementing someone are asking about their background, though I see how it could be translated as power imbalance. I definitely don’t believe that smaller groups can get away with things, that’s a little ridiculous and what happens if the smaller groups become powerful? Are their actions suddenly inexcusable?

You're not stupid. I am very aware that you are aware that I don't mean 1+1=2.

My apologies, just checking, I’ve heard that view before. So then, do you mean history, or government classes? Wouldn’t that also depend on the teacher?

Group identity trumps individualism. I know this is counter to everything we're supposed to believe. But it is painfully obvious once you open your eyes to it. Individualism is a psyop pushed on us to keep us weak.

My apologies, just checking, I’ve heard that view before. So then, do you mean history, or government classes? Wouldn’t that also depend on the teacher?
1. Don't apologize if you haven't done anything wrong.
2. In order to learn, you've got to recognize patterns. Find patterns and draw conclusions based on what you find. As you get older and take in more information, then modify those conclusions based on your new found information. What most people do is they purposely look for exceptions to the rule because they are scared to admit to themselves the truth of what the clearly observed pattern is pointing to. Don't do that. Be brave. Look for truth and dare to go wherever it leads you. I think you are kind of doing that already. And for that I salute you! (y)
