Jesus made an important statement relating to his own trustworthiness, when He said in (John 14:29).

'And now I have told you these things before they come to past that when they come to past you might believe.'

If I asked you to prove to me that Jesus Christ was a man sent by God as his only Son, who shed his blood and suffered death for the remission of all sins, how would you prove and convince me of that so that I could trust what you tell me and believe upon the name of the Son of God?

Maybe the spirit descending like a dove down upon Jesus while the Voice from heaven stated clearly, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased<-------there was numerous witnesses to this event wasn't there?

If we were asked to give the greatest proof possible that the scriptures can be trusted, what would that proof be? Does the proof that you offer require faith or is it evidenced by what has been seen?
Romans 1

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

After the death of Jesus something caused eleven ordinary men to go from fearful cowering desciples to turning the known world upside down for Christ. RESURRECTION. Not only did they turn the world upside down with thier message, they suffered great persecution for this message and most died as martyrs never recanting. Much of the new testament was written by eyewitnesses.

A Muslim dying for God is not a good analogy, they are dying for what they believe is true. The witnesses to Jesus would'v been dying for what they knew was a lie. In other words if you don't believe the witnesses you believe they were either lying for their cause and willing to die for a lie or were delusional.

The only real proof you will ever receive is that moment when you by faith receive Christ as your Savior. Then you will know just as you are known.
After that you can start to explain to others just like yourself how to believe in Christ.

"I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their words, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they may also be in us, so that the WORLD may believe that you have sent me."

John 20:29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

This is a good question. In this hypothetical if someone asked me such I would answer with the question;

What the complete version of the compilation of books and letters in the Bible throughout time and a multitude of geographic locations, and languages copied faithfully through millenia despite all the crazy stuff happening described outside the Bible by other humans that still collaborates to the stuff described in the Bible isn't enough proof?

The account of Him by multiple eyewitness people that knew Jesus and also had connections to the other people that knew him, like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, and whoever collaborated or wrote in Acts. Plus even Saul of Tarsus/Paul who even was an adverserial perspective that converted to Christianity whom was obviously highly literate and quite a skilled writer indeed and also very provable given his lot in life as Roman Citizen and upperclass and possibly of nobility within the puppet state of Judaea under Roman and Herod's rule, plus as a Pharisee he had some clout in their ancient order and affairs within the second temple.

By their accounts Jesus fulfilled all the Messianic prophecies of the Prophets in the Old Testament and even by the kings and other notables of the Old Testament which was all ready well known and written about from the writings of the time when Jesus walked Earth with Peter and the other disciples.

Since Father said I will write my laws in their hearts and minds and since you want up-to-date proof instead of easily faked materials of the old world, check your self and see if those laws are written in you then ask yourself and if you're not lying anyone being honest has to admit they are. Now since this is a right up to the minute proof, understand you will find these laws in the bible also. Since both laws (the one's written in your heart and also the bible) are identical, you should have no problem believing the rest.

Many people from many other religions have 'eye witness accounts' and have died for their gods too.

Does that make all of them true too?
What I was thinking... But before I entirely go along with this statement it would help to have examples of individuals who knew first-hand the supernatural works of their god/s and/or prophet/s and subsequently chose to die for them. And then it would help to have Archaeology back these individuals up as being historical. Because that is what Christianity has.

BASED ON MY BELIEFS...

I believe we got the whole thing twisted...
We as christians over time just called him god, or the son of god. But jesus himself never asked for it..
Jesus was sent down to teach us, But people took him for something more, as they seen he can do miracles and much more..

John 5:30 - By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.
The Bible mentions the prophetic nature of Jesus’ mission in the following verses:
“… and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which has sent me. (The Bible, John 14:24)

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent.” (The Bible,John 17:3)

Jesus refuted even a remote suggestion of his divinity. Consider the following incident mentioned in the Bible:

Gospel of metthew chapter number-19 verse number-16 and 17

16.Now someone approached jesus Christ(peace be upon him) and said, "Teacher, what good must I do to gain eternal life?"

17. Jesus Christ(peace be upon him) answered him, "Why do you ask me about the good? There is none good but one, that is, God. If you wish to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments.

Jesus Christ(peace be upon him) Did not say if you want to enter eternal life you believe that I am god, He said if you want to enter eternal life you keep the commandments

Jesus Christ(peace be upon him said):"I cannot do anything on my own; I judge as I hear, and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me.

John 8:50I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge.
John 14:28 • If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
Deuteronomy 6:4 • Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

God Also said:
Exodus 20:4 • You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
Exodus 20:5 • You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God.

So the Bible made it clear that Jesus is an honored Messenger just like Moses and Abraham who were sent to worship 1 god. As Jesus Himself described:
John 5:30By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?
23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

These are the people who make Jesus the Messenger = to God! Therefore Jesus said they are evildoers!
Here Jesus said the father in heaven NOT jesus on earth... and he did not say worship ME...

------------------------
For the people who claim Jesus is SON of God, God also claimed Adam, Jacob, and Abraham as his sons..
