This word sounds so good, prophecying peace and happiness. But it is false.
"trust in the words of this prophecy." this is not how the Spirit speaks. For when the Spirit speaks, it is "Yes and amen in Jesus Christ." it is never trust in the prophecy, but in God who moves in me to speak. Further, having the gifts will not prepare anyone to meet the Lord in the air, that is not the purpose of the gifts. The gifts are to edifying and build up the body in Jesus Christ.
Hmm. I did just notice that. Yes that is also true, no one should trust in a prophecy in that way. I missed those words as I was thinking about Jesus.

I guess I should have read it in full.

I really hope that Jonathan does not take my words too harshly. I believe that he has a gift for prophecy. Most of this word is good. I only judged two parts. I know that it is hard to take criticism, bit if you keep close to Him all will be well.

A true prophet will be right 100% of the time because as you have said it is false therefore he is a false prophet. As you mentioned critisism is hard to take but we need to stay close to Him

Yes yes. I was hoping the same thing. Yes he does also. Yes I understand.

I am understanding so much about the Church. And all parts play a role. I can't wait to see the unity promised, I hope I am able. The one Jesus prayed about. Satan cannot keep it back either. The Church is going to be perfected. This is so awesome.

May Jesus bless you.

Ha. I thought YOU said that he was a false prophet?

You don't have to be a prophet to prophecy. But VW is right about this, I didn't read the whole thing. And I hope this doesn't hinder Jonathan from growing in Jesus. We should just judge ourselves.

May Jesus bless you.

That is not true about a prophet under the new covenant. We have a very different relationship with the Holy Spirit than in those days. The Spirit could not dwell in the heart as He does now. Then, if a prophet spoke from his heart, he was false, period. Now, because we have the Spirit in our heart, we can speak from the heart and be true. Bit we can misunderstand also, what the Spirit is saying.

This is why we are not called to judge the prophet, only the word given. I did not say that Jonathan is false, just that some of the word is wrong, or false. In that I hold no judgment on him whatsoever, and truly hope that he grows in this very difficult gift.

Avinu, I believe more of a any-trib doctrine because the Rapture is not mentioned in Revelation. There seems to be nothing that links the rapture with the tribulation. The Apostles were watching for the Rapture in the New Testament and we are told to watch because Jesus comes as a thief in the night. I believe the Rapture could take place at any point before or during the tribulation, I don't think anyone believes that the Rapture happens at the end of Revelation because it is the end of things, even the end of the World as we know it. I believe that people confuse the prophesy about the end times with the Rapture. The man of sin must be revealed. I don't believe anyone knows the day or the hour of the Rapture. But I do believe that people will know the tribulation. I believe that Christians are on the Earth during the tribulation because believers do not take the mark of the Beast and are beheaded for Christ. These martyrs are mentioned in Revelation as people who will reign with Christ. So to answer your question. I believe it could happen before or during the tribulation but not at the end of time.
If you were a true prophet it would sound like this

Jeremiah 6:9
(9) Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.

Jeremiah 6:16
(16) Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Jeremiah 6:21
(21) Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

Jeremiah 6:22
(22) Thus saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.

Yes, she will become perfect. God will see to that. The Holy Spirit will present her in glory, without spot or blemish or wrinkle or any such thing.

The problem now is that she does not see these things in herself, the spots and wrinkles and blemishes, and the showing her of them will become unpleasant.

In Christ and His love,

Prophets in the new covenant do not prophecy like that, unless directed by the Spirit. Then only a few could prophesy, now everyone may prophesy.
Paul's teaching are clear on this.

Your words not God's

Malachi 3:6
(6) For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Hebrews 13:8
(8) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Then I guess Paul got it all wrong.

As I just said on another thread, your doctrines are weird.

No Paul did not get it wrong people reading him get it wrong. Paul says things which are hard to be understood and those who are unlearned twist the scriptures.

2 Peter 3:15-16
(15) And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
(16) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

I agree, some get messed up with Paul's letters. But go and quote what Paul writes about prophecy. You can find it in one of the letters he wrote to the church at Corinth. Something about that he would that we all prophecy. And in another how each prophet can speak in turn, and the people are to judge the word.

You can't have it both ways. Paul wanted us all to prophesy, not just a few. And if a prophet today gets it wrong, we don't stone him. We also have the Holy Spirit. That was not the case in the days of old.

1 Corinthians 12:10
(10) To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
1 Corinthians 12:29
(29) Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

God is going to bless those who believe His word on this site. God is going to pour out from Heaven His Spirit upon people who will ask! If you want to be baptised in the Holy Spirit with speaking in tounges. God will do that for you. God is going to bless the people who believe that He wants to bless them with gifts and callings of God. Ask and ye shall recieve, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. God wants you to be prepared for the Rapture that could take place at any time. Look for the coming of the Lord. He comes as a thief in the night. God bless you all in Christ Jesus. To the saints of the New Testament. For all those who trust in this prophesy. God speed to the brethren. Keep yourselves pure oh brethren from the spots of the World.
