I honestly don't follow this thread. I mean, I can't tell who's being facetious and who's sternly exhorting or what?! :p

I haven't watched any TV evangelists since the big downfall back in the late 80's when a bunch of them came crashing down. I just got weary of all the heartbreaking news and the gossip that followed. Man, that was a really sad time. :(

It also saddens me how today's televangelists offer book after book after book..... and CD after CD after CD... for a price! How horrid! Jesus would never make someone pay money for the Truth. I just don't get it........... :(

I have a friend on FB who is a rabid atheist. I had to unfollow her, because her posts are so full of hating Christians. Today, I checked her profile, and there was a link to a big story on Joyce Meyer, with her 5 houses and never paying income tax.

How am I supposed to witness about Christ, when she sees televangelists fleecing the flock in such a major way?

I agree with Violet. I stopped watching television preachers in the 1980s and only since I came here did I learn about the newer ones and what was going on with them taking so much money for themselves in the name of Jesus.

Poor Joel...when people get bored they just pick on him

You guys have ran off everyone on the forum who watches Joel...whats the point?
Because Joel isn't a minister of God - he's a motivational speaker masquerading as a Christian preacher.
