For example, I know that God told Moses to tell the Israelites what they could eat instead of the Gentiles.

It is true that God set the jews aside to be His people and to follow certain statures and commandments. However if you read further into the books of then you will see that God in His infinate wisdom covered what to do if the gentile that lived among them wanted to convert and follow God. It is written that even the Alien that lives among you whether he be free or slave if choosing to follow the Law must be circumcised and honor the feast days and all the laws....

rough paraphrase because i do not have the bible open in front of me currently if you would like the passage i am refering to then please e-mail via cc and i will be happy to provide the scriptures....

Curious question. I know that the Bible mainly focuses on Jewish people and Israelites, but what about other races?

For example, I know that God told Moses to tell the Israelites what they could eat instead of the Gentiles. For example, some animals didn't chew their cud properly, so they were considered unclean to the Israelites.

I know that Jesus made it clear that all animals are clean to eat. But besides this, I was wondering, what about the other races? Like, African for example. What were they allowed to eat? What were Asians allowed to eat? Does the Bible even mention that?

Just a curious question.
The Mosaic Law, wherein are the food laws, was given only to God's people Israel.

Their purpose was to be a picture/pattern/type of sin, which is spiritual defilement by disobeying God's law.
Violating any food law resulted in ceremonial defilement, which required remediation.

The food laws were not health laws, but "holiness" laws, to teach the meaning of sin as spiritual defilement.

They were set aside at the death of Christ, when the Mosaic law was set aside (Heb 7:18-19).

So do we keep 100% kosher?
James 2:10 For whoever keeps the entire law, yet fails in one point, is guilty of breaking
it all.

Galations 3:10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is
written: Everyone who does not continue doing everything written in the book of
the law is cursed.

your taking those verse out of context , also they need farther explanation. They are not understandable alone. Kefa52.

You can eat whatever you like. I just like to be very precise on what The Bible says on any topic. I'll follow the health laws And everyone ells can do what they want. Either way. It comes down to a personal decision . Although a unhealthy thing to do; I'm sure no one will end up in hell because they have pork stakes for dinner every night.

Everyone else is grouped into "Gentiles".

I don't have the time right now to find the quote but I'm certain after the "diet" was given to moses God said something about it preventing diseases. Eating for health might not be essential but it is prudent stewardship. A healthy body and mind will prevent much hardship in life, no matter what nationality you are.

3 John 1:2 KJV
(2) Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
1 Corinthians 10:31 KJV
(31) Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Revelation 14:7 KJV
(7) Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Since we are all one race then God's health Laws are for all.

Nathan , Read Mark 7 . Jesus said in verse 20- "...That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man."
Jesus said this after someone told him that others were eating food improperly.
The whole chapter is devoted to the subject that that law is no longer.
How do you wash your food & dishes? How is your kitchen set up as a Kosher kitchen?
If you follow these OT food laws, it can be very entailed. You can't just follow some of them or you broke them all, as stated above.

this new format will get some getting used to.... on a side note. the whole keeping races separate was only until JESUS the Seed of Abraham showed up in the world. for the promise was made to the SEED not seeds. therefore there is a lot of false understanding about God's promises because its not about the seeds but the Seed.

add to it that Ruth is listed as Jesus great great (so many great) grandmother and she was not born of the tribes of Israel and you may understand its more about SPIRITUAL seed than blood or genetics
Except with Romans 11 we see Christians (grafted in Gentiles with re-grafted in Jews), unbelieving Jews who will see a large ingathering in the future and of course unbelieving Gentiles. You may disagree with that brief analysis but you must agree that three distinct groups are in play in chap 11.
Also in the OT sometimes the promise goes to seed (singular) and sometimes plural.

Were you thinking of these?

Ro 14:14, 17, 20 - "As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that nothing is unclean. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean (because we must follow our conscience --Ro 2:14-15). . .For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. . .All food is clean. . ."

1Co 8:8, 10:25 - "But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do no eat, and no better if we do. . .Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience (was it sacrificed to an idol?), for, 'The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it.' "

1Tim 4:3-5 - "They order people to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God (his promise to feed us) and prayer (which blesses it to us, and makes all of it in faith)."

Heb 9:10 - "They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings--external regulations applying until the time of the new order."

Jesus said that it's not what we pot into our mouth that defiles us, but what comes out is what defiles. What we eat passes through and is biodegradable. What we say is out there, and does not decompose, as does out waste.
Judaism was the only religion recognized by God, during Moses day. Therefore, regardless of race, any person wishing to be justified at that time, would be required to adopt Judaism, and comply with all it's ordinances. All the ceremonial and dietary ordinances, contained in the law of the Book, were nailed to the cross. The New Covenant through Jesus, relieves us from any obligation to these ordinances. We are now only required to keep Gods ten commandments, by loving Him and loving humanity.
