Nvmd, I checked it and found the answer👍The Bosom of Abraham refers to the place of comfort in the biblical Sheol (or Hades in the Greek Septuagint version of the Hebrew scriptures from around 200 BC, and therefore so described in the New Testament) where the righteous dead await Judgment Day.

Not sure I ever knew that.

I used to work with a Mormon actually.

He seemed like a very nice guy, professional, respectful and he was taking care of his wife when he was working with me since his wife was sick.

In the Boston area, the most famous Mormon is Mitt Romney who created Universal Healthcare in this state.

In Albania, Mormons are essentially unknown and everyone would call them “a Protestant” of some variety.

Other than that, I haven’t known any Mormons but I know that they’re very controversial in Protestant circles.

The Orthodox Church does not think of the Mormons as a heretical cult, or it shouldn’t .

This of course depends on the level of priest you talk to because it would mean that Catholics and Protestants or anybody is a cult.

This of course is also tied to the understanding of Salvation which according to the church is that we leave it up to God.

At the same time, this doesn’t mean that the church aligns with Mormons, Catholics or anybody else.

The church considers itself as The Followers of Christ since the time of Jesus in an unbroken chain or schisms.

So, live and let live and when we face God we will answer for our sins and hope for his mercy which we pray for everyday while here.

The Latter-day Saint canon consists of four books: the Bible and three other texts; the Book of Mormon, the Book of Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price.

My take is that the Earth was made special by God for the purpose of providing life to human beings to allow fellowship with Him. If there were other human life on other planets, Jesus would have had to die for their sins as well don't you think? And if this is true, surely the Lord would have told us. The thing that is special about human beings, we are told in Scripture in that the angels look at us in wonder because we were made in God's image, not them.

“Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating, when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves, but you in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look” (1 Peter 1:10–12).

There isn't a whole lot of material about Lazarus after he was resurrected but a tradition in my church is that he never smiled after his resurrection due to the sobering effect Hades must have had on him.
But when an angry man smashed a pot of clay he laughed and he said: "The clay smashes clay".

I love that. The simplicity, the humility, the faith and trust and that everything is vain as King Solomon said.

Come to us O Lord and make us whole!

But Lazarus didn't go to Hades. It was the unnamed rich man who went there:

“"There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. "But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, "desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. "Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’” (Lu 16:19-24 NKJV)

Actually, you just shared your opinion, with which I agree.
I also agree that as far as we now know the world's creation was solely for the benefit of earthly souls.

Apparently, those in Hades could perceive those in Abraham's bosom,
(so perhaps we should not quibble over google :^)
