well we should repent if we do sin. But, that alone, won't work. Meaning we cant think about only self. If we think about saving our own skins, and in the process neglect people out in the world suffering and lost in confusion and deception, then I can't help but have a ominous feeling that we would only be deceiving ourselves into thinking we are in good standing.
