What I'm presenting here are my own personal understandings . I'm putting them on the table to be tested in hopes that maybe someone has a better understanding , so I may know Him better . All my understandings have come from the experience first , a valadating teaching second .

What I'm hoping you'll share is your personal understanding of this part of the Salvation journey . Not share someone else's understanding . It's a simple question and has a simple answer , but that simple answer has been lost to time and needs to be rediscovered .

If you've been following this topic , and agree with the first two established states of being I've presented, what would you do next , or what would your step in Faith towards God look like ?
You have to take a chance, a step as it be...

When we turn from our carnal inclinations and turn towards the Lord spiritual Way, I understand as being the 2nd step towards adoption, while the promises in His Word are still not ours.
Upon putting all our carnal tendencies behind us for the Lords Way; there then comes a time when we are supposed to leave our current lifestyle behind us and journey out into the unknown (by faith) in order for the adoption by the Father to be complete, (this is what I see 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 seeming to declare).
Once adopted into the family of God, the promises in the Lords Word would then apply to His children.

So this is now my question to you Pisteuo; as I, and probably everyone else on this forum continues to harbor carnal inclinations, how and when will we, if ever complete step 2, let alone step 3?
Luigi , Your reply is too vague . Are you saying by some kind o fObedient act of leaving our worldly goods and lifestyle behind , we then will recieve the Spirit of Christ ?

Not always my friend.

Proverbs 17:28
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
I thought you were working on your patience , lol.

This would move along quicker if you would answer the questions I'm presenting to you .

Na it's fine as it is...

I'll say this, if I think of a step I can do to improve or to be given something because I achieved this or that than I'm nothing but a squeaky gate. IMO

Everyone here knows how they would answer this question . I know how you will ultimately answer this question . But I won't move forward until someone says it , or someone gives the correct answer .

What's "your " answer ?

Yeah ok this is ridicilous.

If you have the truth spit it out. Its not right to have the truth of God the rest of us dont know about, and just REFUSE to spill the beans.

(And I suspect its gonna be something UNORTHODOX to say the least, based on this procrastinating)
I thought you were working on your patience , lol.

We have established at the beginning stages of the Salvation journey , we haven't received the Spirit of Christ , so Christ , His Word , and the promises in His word are not ours yet .

Are you saying in this specific state you would reach into God's Word ( that isn't ours yet ) and claim a promise of God ( that aren't ours to claim yet either ) ?

I'm not sure if receiving the Spirit of Christ is the same as being adopted by the Father in Romans 9; but if one wishes to be adopted into the family of God, according to 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 it looks like we need to leave our worldly goods and lifestyle behind us.
As most of us never attain this level of discipleship, I then think that to receive the Spirit of Christ may not be as demanding.

Ok , let's go onto the third step or next step .

The state we are currently in at the beginning of the Salvation journey is ,

1) we are being called , drawn , by the Father to Christ .

2) we have responded to the call by turning from our way , to His way , a mental turn .

3) In this current state of being , we haven't received the Spirit of Christ yet , so Christ , His Word , and the promises in His word are not ours yet either .

So now it's time to take our first step of Faith , a step of Faith from our way , to His way .

What is that step of Faith exactly?
This is the question at hand.

Yes , recieving the Spirit of Christ is being finally adopted by the Father . And it happens the same way, " by Faith ".

Salvation is by Grace , through Faith .

Luigi , I don't think you realize how close you are to the truth .

At this point of the Salvation journey , when we have yet to receive the Spirit of Christ , and as such Christ , His Word , and His promises are not ours yet , how does one move forward in the process without violating God and His Word ?

The answer is simple , " by Faith " ! But explaining this is a little more difficult .

Did you know that the Greek has two words for Faith ? The noun " pistis " and the corresponding verb " pisteuo " Did you also know. , That pistis is where we get our English word , the noun , " Faith " , and the corresponding verb " pisteuo" could not be translated into the English language , because the English language has no verb form of the noun Faith .

Here is the exact definition of " pisteuo " from the Vines Greek dictionary . " A personal surrender to Him , and a life inspired by such surrender ."

This is the third step , but is done outside of God and His Word . This first act of faithing or pisteuo is simply done to be accepted as genuone by Christ . Still no Spirit of Christ yet , and Christ , His Word , and promises there in are not ours yet either .

If Christ deems our surrendered life genuine , we move forward to step 4 , any thoughts on what that would be ?

I would guess step 4 being our adoption as Gods children where the promises of God to them who believe on Christ apply, able to do the miracles and greater miracles that those the Lord did; our being caught up spiritually with Christ.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Because the English language doesn't have a word to translate pisteuo , the verb form of Faith , the translators had to chose a word to translate it . They chose the words believe , believer , and believing . The words the English language should have had available to the translators are ,faithe , faither , and faithing .

Pisteuo is used 248 times in the NT . Pisteuo is a specific act , based upon a specific belief , sustained by a specific confidence . Believing is only a part of pisteuo , taken on its own is error .

Pisteuo is two specific acts , and the object of those acts are Christ , a real living person , not His Word , especially in the beginning stages of the Salvation process .

Again , pisteuo is , " a personal surrender to Him , and a life inspired by such surrender . " The surrendered life is made , and our daily decisions must support the fact our lives are nolonger ours , but His now .

The words believe , believer , and believing are mistranslations . I started this topic with the purpose of showing you all how " believing " in God's Word can't start the relationship with Christ . His word is not the object of our Faith and faithing , it has to be Christ HIMSELF !

The next step (4) will show that if the Spirit of Christ was given at the beginning of the Salvation journey , 3 out of the 4 Spirit filled people will fail and lose their reward .

Any questions on step 3 ?

I mean no harm but (pisteuo) is the lowest form of the expression, the Hebrew word (Aman) is a better expression.
