Please write here what God has revealed to you through the Bible. Something very important to you, what you remember or what you amazed.

"I desire mercy, not sacrifice." Jesus said this to the Pharisees when they were criticizing the disciples for picking and eating grain on the Sabbath. Jesus told the Pharisees they were condemning the innocent (innocent being those who followed Him).

Right afterward, Jesus healed a man of a withered hand. Again they accused Him of breaking the law: healing on the Sabbath. The Lord pointed out that the Pharisees would rescue their sheep on the Sabbath if one of them fell into a pit. They put more worth on cattle than people! Jesus didn't die on the cross for cattle - or for rules & regulations - He died to give people LIFE!

Anyhow, the amazing thing the Lord reveals to me here is how blind we are when we condemn and accuse people rather than being living examples of His mercy toward others. Jesus said He desires mercy, not sacrifice!

Many boast of reforming their flesh (which is not possible) because they want to appear holy and avoid persecution and criticism. They think they can put notches on their belt of self-righteousness with works. They believe they can make themselves acceptable by following the law.

But Jesus said He makes us a new creation by putting His nature in us. It isn't of ourselves, none of us can boast. If we don't reflect mercy toward others, if we don't exhibit the love of Christ toward others, if we continue to condemn people for not being who we think they should be, we are just like the Pharisees.

The only way you can show mercy to others is by accepting God's mercy toward you. So long as you are beating down hard on people for not following the law, you have not accepted the grace of God for yourself. You are blind.

Yes. And very often people see God punishing. Forget what He says: "I desire mercy, not sacrifice."

I was very impressed by what Christ has prepared baked fish. It speaks of His care. The fact that He understands our concerns. The fact that he is near, nearby. He loves us. He is alive as we.

4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.
5 He called out to them, "Friends, haven't you any fish?"
"No," they answered.
6 He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, "It is the Lord," he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water.
8 The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.
9 When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.
10 Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."
11 Simon Peter climbed aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.
12 Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the disciples dared ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Lord.
13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.
14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.
