We all know (or at least should know) and agree that God has been working for the last 6000 years, yet his chosen people consistently rejected him time after time. For example, Adam's betrayal (Gn: 2-3), Israelites wanting a new leader instead of Moses (Nu 14:2, Ex 16:2), the killing of all the prophets and ultimately the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (1 Thes 2:14-15). It's not like they claimed they hated and despised God, in fact they believe they were doing God's work (Ex 19:8, Jn 16:2).

So I have 4 questions:

(1) Knowing this history, and knowing Hos 4:6 (my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge) what if we as Christians are doing it wrong?

(2) What if God's comes (Revelation is fulfilled) in a way you didn't expect?

(3) Would you be like the Jews at the 1st coming and refuse to even listen, labeling the fulfillment of the prophecies (Jesus and his disciples) as cults, hersey and demon possessed (Jn 8:48, 16:2, Acts 24: 5, 14)?

(4) Would you be the fulfillment of Jn 16:2-3?

Of course we're doing it wrong and so was the first century church, that's what the epistles are about. Bring correction to the church, I don't think Paul corrected the Thessalonians, he for sure brought lots of correction to Corinth. Here's something interesting, most preachers stand up to preach or teach, but Jesus sat down to teach. John 8:2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them." So there's one thing we do wrong, although I have been to Churches that the teacher sits down in a chair. I remember my family started going to a Church where the teacher sat down on a chair and wore flip flops and my uncle freaked. Then he went to a church that preached a false gospel.

I'm sure there are other things too, but since we are so far removed from the 1st century Church we'll never know fully, only what we get from Scripture. There are many things going on in Churches that are not Biblical or they are but they don't apply to saints.

Prophetically, then it would fulfill the words of scripture...and knowing that scripture can't be broken is why I study to recognize the patterns. Ecclesiastes 1:9 says "what has been is what will be...there is nothing new under the sun". The things that happen to Israel were for our example. Israel was a prototype of what would happen to the people of God in the last days.

(2) What if God's comes (Revelation is fulfilled) in a way you didn't expect?
I hope I'm able to recognize God if it were to happen in a way I wasn't expecting. But you're exactly right that the first time he came not as he was expected to by the majority. That means there a precedent for it happening like that again.

(3) Would you be like the Jews at the 1st coming and refuse to even listen, labeling the fulfillment of the prophecies (Jesus and his disciples) as cults, hersey and demon possessed (Jn 8:48, 16:2, Acts 24: 5, 14)?
I'm no longer as prideful...but there was a time where I would've.

(4) Would you be the fulfillment of Jn 16:2-3?
Nowadays, lol yeah I think I would be one of those kicked out.

A lot of what if's. How about if we just have faith in the word of God as it is written. And just follow it.

When Jesus comes again there will be no doubt who He is and why He is here.

Believing wrong is far more serious and deadly to our eternal salvation then ""doing"" wrong..

(2) What if God's comes (Revelation is fulfilled) in a way you didn't expect?
No problem if one has believed Jesus and trusted in the atonement He secured for us.... If we lack knowledge of how or when He returns that's not a critical doctrine of salvation.. Thats just a misunderstanding of His end times procedures..

(3) Would you be like the Jews at the 1st coming and refuse to even listen, labeling the fulfillment of the prophecies (Jesus and his disciples) as cults, hersey and demon possessed (Jn 8:48, 16:2, Acts 24: 5, 14)?
No.. The return of Jesus will be as lighting that travels from east to west and all eyes will see Him.. There will be no mistaking it is Jesus.. Of course if people believe Jesus is going to be born again as a little baby and grow up on earth then they may believe the anti-christ is Jesus returned..

(4) Would you be the fulfillment of Jn 16:2-3?
I might be cast out of churches indeed... Actually i would be worried if i was a member of the big powerful denomination or religion that had influence with and the approval of worldly authorities..
