I believe God has already done most of what the video is asking for. We need to preach the gospel of the grace of Christ. We don't need revival per se...we need our minds renewed to the truth of the knowledge of the finished work of Christ. His life flowing in and through us will transform His people to go out and love others into the kingdom as we reveal Him.

In saying that...praying in intercession by the Holy Spirit within us is a lost art and the knowledge of the Lord will bring that back into His body.

Good reminder about praying...thanks!

Really?

Christ, the Apostles and the early Church certainly wouldn't agree with you! Luke 24v46-49, Acts chapter 1 & 2

Try doing it the Lord's way, which is ALWAYS better than man's way!

QED!

Revival is a religious term and it is not found in the NT......we need to "know" the gospel and preach the gospel of the grace of Christ and be filled with the knowledge of God. ..but if you want to use the term revival..I don't care one bit..I just translate the term to mean preach the gospel...that is God's way.

Which you would see if you quoted the rest of the post. it's all good though..God bless.

We need the revelation of Christ and in His finished work..that is what changes things..

I think we don't need for a revival to start by someone else or fall out of heaven.

I might be wrong but I think Grace meant we need to get back to the truth of the gospel. We need a REFORMation. Can't fire an engine up with turpentine for gas, clothes pins for spark plugs, spaghetti for wiring, a triple A battery instead of a car battery, and milk for power steering fluid. That's where the 'church' is at! Clueless.

God is done with pharisitical churchianity. 'He over looked such ignorance in the past but now He commands men (the church) everywhere to repent'. Acts 17:30 See my threads. Individuals are seeking the truth but the overall ecclesia?.."....not so much.

I know I am a pain to most but I know you still love me....smile.

Revival changes everything.

The manifest power, changing lives, and making belivers white hot for Jesus.

Power to walk in holiness.
Power to witness
Boldness to pray
A place to bring the lost and see them arrested by God,and litterslly transformed instantly.

I live for this, have seen a witch come to curse, get arrested, and the next night attend the service and she had to be pointed out, because we could not recognize her glorious transformation.

We desperately need this

We prayed every Tuesday night for revival for about 12 years. It never came. Why? Because the 'church' doesn't follow God's plan for the ekklesia.

The Spirit use to move occasionally, and fire folks up but because we were still pouring new wine into old wine sacks, OT made up laws, traditions and commandments of men for doctrine, it soon died. There is something to be said for following God's plan instead of men's.
people draw close with their mouths ...but their heart is far from me. Vs.8....Matt. 15

We prayed for years for revival and we had the new wine sacks but no new wine, doesn't work either.

I agree. If the church was obedient revival would come of its own.

Oh cell groups and encounters, preencounters and everything, but there were no new souls, so the old group of people sat in the whine sacks/ cell groups.

Isn't it something..... when people talk like they know it all & have it all together, folks call it pride, arrogance, & wickedness. But, when a televangelist does it, it's called the anointing..... *sheesh*

Interesting...... Well, i have a problem with the video.... I think the guy is off in what he is tryin to teach or preach it whatever..... Yes, i think this generation is "soft" when it comes to a relationship with Abba Father....in the video he keeps asking whose gonna call God down to save this generation and the church..... Call God down? Gods already here..... HE'S been here.....the revival already started years ago on azuza street....theres no need for a new revival, there's a need to go back to what was taught, that whole experience is there for a reason, this generation has to be taken back and shown that moment..... God is here. HE'S here in the form of the Holy Spirit.... You want power and revival, turn HIM loose......teach people today what Jesus left us when he went home.. Turn the Holy Spirit loose, that's what HE wants....you want to know HIS power just look in the word.....God the Father knew the trials we would face, Jesus came and did HIS part in all its glory.... It took Jesus to save us.... It takes the Holy Spirit to fight...

Revival is for Traditionalists what Charisma is for Progressives. Each need their own "hype" in their own way.

Did you ever notice that neither Jesus nor any of the disciples, in the decades after he left, ever held a "Revival?"

No, but it came nonetheless...

Acts 2:41 KJVS
[41] Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 4:4 KJVS
[4] Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
