if we apply the Book of Hebrews to ONLY THE JEWS, then we also have to use that line of reasoning
with the Book of James, it would ONLY apply to the Lost Tribes of Israel -
also the Book of Ephesians would only apply to the Ephesians, etc. -
but, it is written, that 'there is neither Jew or Gentile, neither slave or free, male or female,
but we are ALL ONE IN CHRIST'...
it is written again;
11TIM. 3:16.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17.
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
PS. 119:89.
LAMED.= to learn - 'For ever', O LORD, Thy Word is settled in heaven.

Right ... understood. And I believe if we apply Heb 6:4-6 to non-Jews ... we could equate it to what was going on when Paul and others went to various cities and taught the gospel and then those who were zealous of the law would follow after them and teach that gentiles had to follow the law.

So if we apply Hebrews 6:4-6 to non-Jews, then I believe what is being addressed is not that gentiles (or Jews for that matter) become "un-born again", but that whether gentile or Jews, the born again one cannot turn to the former ways.

Galatians 3:

1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Then we also read about gentiles and the observances kept and to which gentiles cannot turn back:

Galatians 4:

8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.

9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

A little more from Galatians about those who would turn the gentiles to observances of the law:

Galatians 6:

12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

if we apply one line of reasoning to one scripture, we have to also apply it to any other scripture
for it to be 'valid'...
HEB. 8:1.
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an High Priest,
who is set on the right hand of The Throne of The Majesty in the heavens;
2.
A Minister of the sanctuary, and of the true Tabernacle, which The Lord pitched, and not man.
HEB. 6:4-6. and HEB. 8:1-2.
they surely have to be scrutinized with the same Spiritual logic, for we must compare Spiritual with Spiritual
on an equal basis...
