People who get saved have the assurance that comes with salvation as Paul writes in Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
God gives us that knowing, that certainty that we are His.
If you are uncertain having any doubt of your own salvation Paul says examine yourselves as to whether you be in the faith ;
2Co_13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Is Jesus Christ in you?
Col_1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Have you obeyed His gospel ? The gospel He has given Paul?
Gal 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
What is the gospel given to Paul?
1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
Paul had declared the gospel to the Corinthian church in his letter to them as we as we read.
This is what Paul had received from Christ as the gospel;
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
That is what you need to BELIEVE to be saved.
There is no other gospel that will save you.
Christ in you the hope of glory.
Don't let these verses slip from your mind and not examine them yourself as been the word of God.
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
I have heard the gospel many years ago, and have never been disappointed in what God has done for me and continues to do in me.
Christ has died for our sins, that is the most amazing message you will ever hear in your entire life.
There is power in the gospel to save those who will trust Christ in what He has done for the salvation of our souls.

Somebody might ask,why did CHRIST have to die for our sins

My answer would be to them that GOD loves righteousnes,perfect righteousness and man,although his Spirit Is willing his flesh Is weak.

Because of the weakness of the flesh man could not meet GODs perfect standard of righteousness, so GOD In CHRIST had mercy and came to the earth manifested physically In the flesh as a man and visible to man

to keep GODs perfect standard of righteousness and offer to anyone that believes In HIS WORD eternal life.

JESUS took the punishment for all those who broke the law and the demand of the law meant death to anyone who broke the law.

So with JESUS taking our place the demand of the law was satisfied and righteousness was maintained and a way was made for man to have eternal life without compromising righteousness.

Hebrews 1:7-10
King James Version

7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8 But unto the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, [even] thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
