I'm not especially looking for areas of disagreement. I think most people are way closer than they realize.
In the end result (getting saved), yes.

The question, and what the never-ending argument is about, is how does it happen? Does God "do it all," with nothing required from the individual, or does God first require faith (from the person)?

So why wouldn't a Calvinist obey Jesus?
I was in evangelistic ministry. If you hold to all Calvin taught I should have started each meeting with a warning, like they put on cigarettes.

" Folks, God only loves the elect. He created the rest of you to live in misery and die in sin. You can't do anything to change that. The elect, you're created for heaven so it doesn't matter what you do, you have the Golden Ticket. Annnd goodnight".

No, each night I stood before a crowd it was my duty and calling to say " Jesus Saves, He's the answer to all your pain, to all your hurt. Turn it Him!! But if I was a Calvinist, I couldn't say that. It makes no sense. Jesus commanded us to go preach to everyone.

Listening is required so that hearing can take place. Many are too preoccupied mounting their objections to actually listen.

I understand the point of the thread. Because it is a never ending argument whatever I say won't change things. So I'm looking for areas of agreement and keeping my head low.

Do you believe Calvinists are omniscient and know who will be saved? Of course they're not. And God has decided to save people through the foolishness of preaching. So preaching will be necessary until the last person is saved.

You are fortunate that God chose you, before the foundations of the world. Do you evangelize the lost, or is it possible or necessary, according to your understanding?
The remnant are instructed to preach and teach the doctrine to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, but since we cannot determine who they are, we are instructed to give an answer to everyone who ask of the hope within us.

1 John 2:2 KJV
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

The KJV says it exactly as I posted it. What does your version say?
John 6:39 does not mention Jesus' death at all.

Nor did you quote the verse in the post I responded to, not before either when we discussed this
previously, though I gave the verse then to prove to you that what you claim is simply not there.

Meanwhile you conveniently overlook and ignore the verses that say Jesus died for the sins of the whole world.

When Scripture says "all," or "everyone" etc, you claim it only means some.

No, that was Jesus' instruction to the twelve. They were NOT to go to the gentiles or to the Samaritans, but only to Israelites. Jesus was a Jew, sent to the Jews (Matt 15:24).

After Jesus' resurrection, the instructions changed:

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

John 6:39 does say "all that his Father gave him, that he would raise them up at the last day, and that he would not lose none.

Is Jesus going to raise all mankind up at the last day, and not lose any of them?

The Father will give to Jesus all that have decided to believe the gospel, something anyone can choose to do.
