John 1:12-13
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

So Abraham was given righteousness. but he was not saved.

Hey, Good to know where your comming from.

I will stick with reality though

If you have not been imputed righteousness. Your lost.

If you were imputed righteousness, that act SAVED YOU

What work could you possibly due to pay for your own sin.. thats what I would like to know. where does your mindset come from?
What the Bible says is that Abraham's faith was reckoned/accounted as righteousness. It does not say that Abraham was accounted as righteous. Nor does it say that he was given righteousness.

God imputes my faith to me as righteousness. The death of Jesus washes away all my sins, past, present and future except the sin of presently deliberately lying against the testimony of the Holy Spirit. I don't claim to pay for my own sins. If my sins are washed away by Jesus, I am clean and righteous and blameless. I can add more righteous credits to my record by believing God, because God reckons/accounts/imputes my believing as righteousness.

He was in paradise was he not?

Your not as special as you think you are.. Your not better than abraham was
Paradise was Abraham's bosom located in the heart of the earth. I would not call that eternal salvation, present with the Lord. Why the personal shots, brother?

what do you think the word counted or reckoned means?

A better word is imputed. it is a banking term, It was credited to his account.

but hey, people will only see what they want

He who believes is not condemned

he who does not believe is condemned already

Your sin is not washed away if you do not have the faith of abraham

Which text are you alluding to?
Not alluding to any text.

Simply the assertion that "saved by faith" means the same as "saved by faith alone".

Just as the assertion that "walked to the store" means the same as "walked to the store alone".

2 John 2:19 ifs talking about the “antichrist “ who deny that Jesus is the Son of God. See verses 18 and 22. The word “They” in verse 18 refers to the antichrist who are the ones who have left. Who are the “us” in verse 19? The “us” are the apostles. Read chapter 1:1-3- “That…which WE ( the apostles) have heard, which WE (the apostles) have seen with our eyes, which WE ( the apostles) have looked upon and our hands have handled... WE ( the apostles) have seen and BEAR WITNESS and DECLARE TO YOU that you may have fellowship with US ( the apostles).” Verse 5- “This is the message that we have heard from Him and DECLARE TO YOU..” so, keeping this verse, 19 in the Context in which it was written, the apostles ( the us) are letting the brethren know that these false teachers, the antichrist, who are denying that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, are not apostles, nor in fellowship with the apostles. This
Is not talking about all Christians everywhere, but about a certain group of false teachers who might even have claimed to be apostles.

You have taken this verse completely out if its context and perverted it to teach something the Holy Spirit never intended as anyone who reads the context can plainly see.
2 John 1:7 ... many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh,
have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

I will stick with the Bible says over what you and second time deceiver say.

Also, it has not escaped my attention that you have consistently refused to be honest about the fact
that you have been contradicting yourself. If only God can know who is saved, as you admit, that leaves
you with NO excuse for saying you have known people who were saved and then lost their salvation.
I don't care how many confused people with poor reasoning skills and lack of logic agree with you.
All your bluster and pretensions to greater knowledge/understanding cannot hide your lack of integrity.

Ephesians 2:8,9, & 10- "for ye are saved BY GRACE THRU FAITH...."
We all understand what the verse states.

The question is, does the verse mean "THRU FAITH ALONE"?

Example, if someone states that they walked to the store does this mean that they walked to the store alone?

Can we assume that because "alone" was not mentioned in the statement then this is proof that the person definitely walked alone?

What else does the Bible say we are saved by and through?

Correct. Abraham's own faith was credited/imputed to Abraham's own account as righteousness.
