There are different verses that have been an encouragement to me. One passage is the parable of the prodigal son. I have be encouraged thinking over some healing passages of Jesus and observing how welcoming he was to people. The passage of how Jesus welcomed the children in his arms really touched me as well. Scripture verses such as Psalm 27:1, Isaiah 42:16, Isaiah 50:10, Micah 7:7-9, and John 6:37, and John 14:4-6.
I think John 14:4-6 demonstrates the simplicity of the gospel of Christ and that the disciples indeed did know the way for Jesus is the way, truth and life.

This would be too hard of a question to answer because God has used so many different Bible verses over the years to minister to me in so many different ways.

That said, as strange as this may initially sound, the one book of the Bible which might ultimately prove to have been the most advantageous to me is the book of Job.

Why?

Well, because there I learned to never pit my own righteousness against God's righteousness.

God is always right.

Whenever anything rises up in me against his word, then I know that the problem is at my end, and I repent accordingly.

What's your favorite verse, and why?
Hey, just pick one that makes your heart sing - don't think so hard - easy WIN WIN here Brother.

As I said, context. And I even posted the context to prove it rather than isolated scripture.
So you don't believe Acts 16:31? There are many promises like it, but ONLY for those who believe them. Sad to see loved ones of Christians burn in Hell because Christians don't believe the Bible!

I hear you, but there's seriously just too many to choose from.

I mean, there have definitely been times when I needed to be uplifted in relation to the love of God, and God quickened or illuminated certain verses to me along those lines.

At the same time, there have definitely been times when I needed a good dose of the fear of God, and God quickened or illuminated certain verses to me along those lines.

Hmmmm...???

In light of everything that I just said, this verse should work:

"Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way." (Psalm 119:128)

See, we both share this. He has brought us to a place where we see by the Spirit the vanity of all the religious hu-ha.

Acts 16:31 Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, YOU and YOUR HOUSEHOLD!

Sadly, most Christians don't believe this.
In a sense, all mankind is from one family, Adam and Eve.

Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." "Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.

lost one also a few.
Matthew 25:41 (NKJV)
41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
