Proverbs 14:15. The simple (unlearned, undiscerning) man believes every word (from the pulpit), but the prudent (one who seeks God and searches the word) knows between good and evil.

Vs.16. A wise man is cautious and departs from evil. But the ignorant tampers with it confidently.

Vs.25. A true witness (of the word of God) delivers lives, but a deceitful witness speaks lies. (To keep people in servitude, slavery).

there's not enough time or space in here, to share with others what my husband and I do
for Jesus Christ, when He calls and it becomes your life, then it just is what it is...
but if there were, we definitely would not boast nor try to put ourselves
above anyone in this world...
it doesn't have to be long, just some simple stuff...

like, do you go to a church that meets in a building? do they own the building?

or do you go to a house church?

False teachers kill those that would live, and bring to life those that should die.

True teachers bring to maturity those that would live, and put to flight those that should die.

False teachers abound on evey hand and have no trouble garnering followers.

True teachers are rare and have little to no audience in the christian precincts.

Hummm.. Jesus had HUGH audiences. I wonder what that makes Him, in your estimation?

Believe me, it is clear to most of us who speaks the words of Jesus, and who just cuts and slashes, putting others down.

Jesus told the 'pastors' in Jerusalem 'you seek to kill Me because My word has no place in you', John 8:37

Has it changed since then...YES! It's worse!

I think there's quite a difference between a Pharisee and a pastor especially back then. That's like comparing a butcher and a Shepard. Stop twisting the scriptures yet to satisfy your needs. Thought you knew better than that. Now you've become what you preach against.

I'm seeing the same thing... it's difficult to watch. Adding incorrect meanings to scriptures, incorrect references, all to fit his twisted agenda.

It has become evident to me that what we are seeing with brother Yet is a semi-controlled, looooong, YEARS long, drawn out temper tantrum.

It's a addiction I think....definitely a delusion if he thinks that is his purposed mission. I'm fine with the warnings, I can see where he's pointing to...but good gosh man it's becoming obsessive.

Have you even considered that maybe he has been harmed by a Church? Many Churches do damage to people. The top of the list one is the Roman Catholic Church. Many people have been greatly harmed by the Catholic Church.

Maybe this person has had his Faith in Jesus shattered by a Church or a person. By keeping people at bay, we then cannot be harmed by those people ever again.

These people are very hard to help because they fear being harmed again.

yes, this is the case with him. i don't know any details, but it's been hinted at by people who know him better that at some point in his history he had some falling out with some place that at least called itself a church, and since then you have to drag him into a church building. i don't know why he talks bow about not 'needing the scripture' so much -- it may have something to do with whatever argument/contention he had in his past, or it may be something that he gets from some other influence.
but i also consider it to be a somewhat petty and wrong response, that is contrary to scripture and in with high probability damaging to ones spiritual health.

suppose that you were misled by a false teacher - so you swore off all teachers forever.
suppose you were choked on a bit of food - so you refused to eat anything but soup for the rest of your life.
suppose that you had a bad relationship with a woman as a youth - so you remained single for all your years.
suppose you read something in the scripture that offended or challenged you - so you stopped reading it.

these are extreme overreactions. they are taking one instance or a few instances and extrapolating from them predictions far beyond what is statistically relevant. they are irrational.

the scripture gives a clear injunction not to isolate ourselves from other believers, and gives clear instructions for the establishment of congregations. the gift of the Spirit is clearly meant for the building up of each other. there are very clear scriptures indicating that God intends for some people to be used of Him for leadership and authoritative positions, and for the whole body to work together as one with Christ as the head.

if a finger chops itself off and sits on a shelf, it is of no more use to the body, and the body no use to it. it withers and dies. it's really that simple. a person can argue ((and my friend does)) that God is able to keep you and that the Word also says you have no need for anyone to teach you, because you have the spirit -- and surely God is able! but God has also ordained that by the Spirit we come together and that the spirit use each of us for each other as He determines. we do not 'need' teachers but God has in His wisdom made some teachers. we do not 'need' shepherds but One Shepherd, but God has seen fit in His wisdom to make some shepherds. we don't 'need' written scripture because we have the Spirit, but God has given us His Word and this is what the Spirit uses to teach us.

i see arguing on such technicalities as excuse-making at best, and at worst, tempting God, as Christ would have if He had jumped off the top of the temple at Satan's recommendation.

Does it praise God to believe that even on a desert island or locked in a cell without any human contact or even the Bible, God is able to reach a man or woman and by His Spirit lead them into all grace and all knowledge? sure. but this isn't the 'rule' by which we ought to live our lives when He has richly provided for us all these things that in those cases we would be without. refusing to read the Bible because you don't technically 'need it' is like going outside in an ice storm because you believe God is able to keep you warm, when you have every bit of appropriate clothing at your disposal, or like walking through a forest in pitch black night when you have a flashlight in your pocket. 99.9999999% of the time, hello frostbite and death by exposure -- hello smacking your head against a tree branch and breaking your ankle on fallen logs.

we ought not despise the gifts God has richly given us, amiright?

this is how i feel about my friend, and that makes me quite sad, and i don't know how to convince him otherwise without becoming quite stern -- which, is that appropriate? it might be, though it seems like it could drive him away even farther, and further harden his heart. or maybe because it comes from a friend, it would be different.

Reminds me of this Scripture:

1 Corinthians 12:

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14 For the body is not one member, but many.

15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?

20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

And we can no more cut others from the body than we can cut ourselves from the body:

1 Corinthians 12:

21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

All who are born again are members in particular and we are all placed within the body as it has pleased God. He chooses where we fit in the body and He equips us with what is needed in order for us to function where it has pleased Him to place us.

so true!

yes there are errors, wolves, problem people in the church... I know because I'm one of them.

but if a christian isolates himself, his gifts are useless to the body.

sometimes God places us where we can help others and sometimes God places us where others help us. the point is to look to see how we can do the most good for others and we will see plenty of opportunity to step up and help others as we are led.

not sure where Brother Yet fits in the scheme of things ... does he need a body of believers who can minister to him or does he need a body of believers he can minister to?

what do you think, Yet?

My life has been a life of NO! I wanted to have a gospel band with harmony. God said NO, not going to happen.

I wanted to publish my songs. God said NO, not going to happen.

I wanted to 'pastor' as that is defined by the church. God said NO, not going to happen.

I wanted to be an evangelist. God said NO, not going to happen.

So i staid in the factory jobs. Each birthday would go by. I'd pray 'Lord, i'm 25 now. I'm not getting any younger. When will you open my doors?'

Then 26, then 27, then 28, then 29. I'd see others get saved and then in a couple of years they are pastoring or one thing or another while God would keep me grinding away in the heat of a factory. Feeling year after year that i was being totally over looked by God, ignored. But i kept serving Him and trusting Him anyhow....in pain. Was there any other option? No.

One brother told me if he'd gone through what we'd gone through, he would have given up on God long ago.

I Told him that that's never been an option. So we trudged on.

Then i turned 30 and prayed the same prayer 'Lord, how much longer before we get to have a minstry like everyone else. I'm not getting any younger Lord'.

Then 31, then 32, then 40, then 45, then 50, then 55, then 60. I'm now 66. But now get it. Actually i figured things out at the age of 40. I knew we'd always be despised and rejected by churchians, especially the wolves in charge.

God kept us from 'making it' with the organised 'church'.....for good reason. See my threads.

For the past 15 years or so signs of the 'great apostasy' were getting clearer and more pronounced.

I could catalogue a very long list here but you need to do a google search on the 'falling away' of christendom.

A little bit of evidence.

The Hill Song Church singers that i thought the music and harmonies were awesome, and hurt that i could not have a gospel band.
Well they had everything handed to them on a silver platter and today they are bowing their knees to the pope, to islam, and to sodomy.

I could list the christian music artists that are going 'new age', bowing to Rome, and sodomy but i'll just mention a couple. The big one who had everything handed to him on a silver platter...Ray Boltz, out of the closet homo.

Michael W. Smith, bowing to the harlot of Rome with some new age sprinkled in. Everything handed to him on a silver platter, filling auditoriums at his 'awsome' concerts.

Preacher after preacher now bowing to the harlot with the one world church, many free masons and luciferians like Copeland and Graham. The list gors on about thrse satanic plants that were there to undermine the faith of many.

All these 41 years of trying to figure out why God would not allow me to excel in any form of ministry but kept me and my wife totally isolated and away from churchianity and all the foolishness and sin.

So now we see. My ministry is to SOUND THE ALARM, a watchman on the wall. Even our movie being despised by pastors and christians.

But today i rejoice with much thanksgiving to our Jesus for keeping us separated from all the corruption and apostasy.

You guys need to start googling some of this stuff. See: apostasy watch and apostasy now. Grow some clues about what's going on just before the return of Christ. Do you want to get this thing figured out before or after the rapture?

Like i said i could list the satanic garbage that so called christian pastors are leading the flock into but then most of you would just chew me out.

Actually this thread is NOT for those who malign me and His word on this but for the 'truth seekers', the humble that feel something is out of kilter, helter skelter with organised religion.

Yes i can talk about the kindness of God toward us on one hand but detail the the satanic inroads in the church on the other hand. His kindness is to open our eyes and warn us of these things.

So i humbly rejoice that i was not 'born again' with a silver spoon in my mouth or a silver platter on my lap. Thank-You Jesus.
How can you preach? What would you say? Is this your testimony? And is it to GOD's glory?
