You have made an indictment against every single believer that might have a problem with sin in their life and that is not just new believers but all believers.
I know what you are trying to bring across, but this is not a fair assessment of the OP. His focus in on the new nature of the believer, and it is true as far as it goes. What could have been added is that "the old man" ("the flesh") that wants to sin
has not been eradicated, and therefore Christians must "crucify" or "mortify" or put to death the flesh by dying daily to sin and living daily to righteousness. The important point to keep in mind is that sin cannot, must not, and will not have dominion over the one who has been genuinely regenerated, since the indwelling Holy Spirit will empower the believer to "do" righteously and "do" righteousness. In order for this to become a reality, God expects Christians to become "living sacrifices" (Rom 12:1,2). To claim "sinless perfection" is to be self-deceived.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
