In a 'practical' sense sinning is part of a 'state' of being in this flesh, this body of death.

As for 'identity' this speaks of a 'standing' before God, so then we are to see and understand that sin is also a nature, not only 'in' us the creature, but in creation. Sin is a thing as well as an effect, "dead to sin", "sin of the world", "sin came into the world" it was already present in creation, in the heavenly places.

"The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."

reconciliation is a doctrine of our ministry in this dispensation for good reason.

I have been talking about this very thing on FB, I recently joined, do you fb Farouk?

I didn't expect hearing in this thread such complicated answers about 'sin'

Jesus said everything we may like to know... in a simple clear way.
So I guess most people have their good reasons to hate simplicity.

It is a bit late here.
If I will wake up tomorrow, I will likely share with you and others what I learnt from Jesus about sinning.

Hi; the Gospel in John 3.16 involves salvation from sin.
Hi Farouk,

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

I don't see a sign of 'sin' here... I see just God's Love.

How do you think a man can believe in Jesus?
Could a man believe in Jesus while he ignores Jesus teachings in his daily life, practically speaking?

Thank you.

Having read some of your comments, I can understand why you don't see it............"shall not perish, but have everlasting life...."

Those who do not have Jesus as Lord and savior are destined to "perish" in their sin..............those who accept Him, will have everlasting life.........

It's really a fairly simple verse to understand.................

QUOTE:

Anyway, I may be wrong in all what I said. In this case I hope you can help me know how men, the tiny powerless creatures, can affect God's feeling/status in his Kingdom by anything wrong they may do on earth, on one of the trillion planets in God's universe...

END QUOTE..............

Again, simple stuff really................DO YOU believe God takes pleasure in a soul who is lost? Do you believe God takes pleasure in those who deny Christ?

[that affects His feelings surely...........the sorrow He feels over the loss of one of His creations........]

Do you believe God (and all of heaven) rejoice over a soul saved? Have you ever read the parable of the 90 and 9?

[this also affects Gods feelings...........for He is joyous over the love His children give to Him]

Of course NOTHING affects His "status" as the Great I Am...............that goes without saying.........AND NO ONE I know ever suggested that they could affect His status.............so, that's just silly.

Something else you seem to not understand...............IT IS BECAUSE OF THE WRONG MANKIND WAS DOING that God put into place HIS SALVATION PLAN.............goodness...........

One of the early questions I asked myself is:

“What does the word ‘sinning’ really mean, practically speaking?”

Obviously, the right answer should also give the answer of the question which is related to our present time:

“When or how does a person sin, also practically speaking?”

Thank you.

After hearing you, I will share my answers with you
Sinning mean to stray away from what God has intended for us to be. We are all sinners and God is the only one that can restore us. as long as if we desire to be restore. Jesus has told the blind man, "are you willing", which letting us know that our hearts must want to be in His ordinance to be heal. The Laws was what God intended for us to be and how everything should perform, but when sin enter into the scene, it has disrupted everything. And God has came back to restore the house of Jacob which mean to put everything back into order.

Well said.
Now... May I ask you what things that keep a person away from God?
If I am not wrong, you likely say "by not following God's Will"... right?

I guess, here is our main difference.

While you look for the God's Will, also if I am not wrong, in the whole Bible, God's Will is more than clear to me in Jesus sayings, for example when He says (Matthew 5:45)

"That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust".

Do you think there are things to do (and/or say) more important than living the unconditional Love and care towards all others as God's Love is?

Thank you.

Sin is simply disobedience to God.

The first sin was committed when God made one rule, Adam & Eve disobeyed. The rest is history :)

As you say, I hope, by repeating with all your heart, "Jesus, You are my Lord and Savior", you will be saved (... join God's Kingdom).

After all, it happens that millions of people in all around the world also believe that by repeating, for example, something like "Allah... Mohammad... etc.", they will likely be welcomed in Allah's paradise (Al-Janna).

Just to be sure I understood you well, don't you think, to be saved, it is enough for a person to just accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior in his heart, without living seriously the essence of his teachings in daily life? (I assume you know the essence of Jesus teachings, don't you?).

Here we go again, me, myself and I?
Do you mean God gave you a bright brain to know Him by listening to some other men only?

On the other hand, I guess you know that Jesus addresses individuals only (not any group of people) in his first two great commandments.
I don't know how you like seeing your relationship with Jesus. To me, Jesus is addressing his teachings, sayings and hints to me (yes, myself and I) and to any other one who likes seeing him as the Living Son of God, hence the Divine Perfect Teacher who came among us.
Please forgive me if you see Jesus otherwise. It is just me :(

I see you are still practicing deception in your comments........YOU asked how John 3:16 related to "sin......" I gave you the explanation of how John 3:16 relates to sin............and now you want to change the focus to an entirely different topic......

smoke and mirrors...........just plain deceptive use of smoke and mirrors...........goodness...........

Who do you believe Jesus was speaking to? To SINNERS.........who do you believe God's Salvation Plan is intended for? SINNERS..........How is it even possible someone can not understand this?

But, go ahead, and change the focus again.............and while your at it.........mayhaps you will go back and acknowledge my comment #26 showing you how men can affect God's feelings......or are you ignoring that one?

Who do you believe Jesus was speaking to?
Did Jesus, in person, say it?

Though I know you cannot agree with me on anything I say (but this doesn't prevent us being good friends), when Jesus says something, it is addressed to individuals of all generations... to the end of time.

On the other hand, anything said in the name of Jesus (hence not said by Jesus in person) reflects what some people, in every period of time, were able to perceive the essence of Jesus teachings.

Now between you and I
our main difference in understanding the essence of Jesus Christ could be described as it follows:

To you (please correct me if wrong), Jesus came just to die on the cross to save you from your sins (if you accept Him as your Lord and Savior).

To me, Jesus came to save me from my ignorance (and doubts/confusion as well) and show me how I can live, if I want, to gain something (eternity in God's Kingdom) from nothing (actually all I have is not mine; I am just a God's steward till I die).

For instance, you enjoy repeating that I have a certain ideology.

Please tell me, could an ideology exist for one person only?

If this is possible, I wish you help me someday meet just one person who shares with me... what you call 'my ideology'

Thank you.

Perhaps my question is silly, so please forgive me if it is.
How a person knows, he is Born Again.

Acts 13:22 After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’

Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Matthew 12:7 If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.

Matthew 23:23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.

Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Mark 2:7 “Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Matthew 19:8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

2 Peter 2:12 But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish.

Matthew 5:39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.

Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Revelation 21:4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Hello 4enlightment, I guess you meant that once a person can live freely the unconditional love and care towards all others; friends and enemies, he would know he is born again (or he already had a human living soul in which he accepted the Divine Spirit of Love, the Holy Spirit).

Please notify me if I understood you wrong
