The Better Covenant/Testament referenced in Heb 7:22 that Christ was made Surety of is the Everlasting Covenant Heb 13:20

20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

This Covenant I believe was made with Father and Son before the World began, and The Spirit is a Witness of it.

This Covenant in time is also revealed to be the New Covenant. The Blood of the Everlasting Covenant Heb 13 and the Blood of the New Covenant Matt 26:28

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Are the same Blood and Same Covenant, One and the same.

Christ was charged with the sins of the elect and became Surety by virtue of this Covenant, and all liability for their sins were never imputed or charged to them, what a Great Blessing ! 16c
I can discuss what the bible says rather than you beliefs .

If you dont want to discuss my beliefs, then why are u communicating in my threads. My threads are what I believe the bible teaches.
I,ts ok when people comment on my posts if they think I'm taking verses out of context or feel I'm misunderstanding what the text says ( iron sharpens iron) . If they do so from scripture, showing from context, Authors intent, central theme of the book / letter , who the audience is , ect . Its more profitable to discuss the texts . How we are approaching the text is key .

' Sins can't be charged 'is correct. But where it goes wrong is the amount. The whole worlds sins were paid for ,not Just a frozen chosen. The message of reconciliation ( 2.cor 5 .19 ) is that Jesus has ' reconciled ' the world . ' reconciled is not ' saved ' its not ' regeneration ' nor ' glorification ' . Jesus has reconciled the world in the sense of bridging the gap . The bridge is now there for 'whosoever ' to access the grace , because the ' reconciliation has happened .
Rom 5 .
2By whom also we have ACCESS by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Notice the order ? Its not ' irresistible grace first . No its BY FAITH , we have access TO the grace. Access is now there because of the ' reconciliation ' but folks have to access this grace by faith.

Not trying to pick sides here, but the world is never refering to the church. There is the phrase "church world" that's used in church tradition. But Paul said if the church practiced some tradition that doesn't agree with the scriptures or causes offense," we have no such traditions".
