Think of it like this. You have an inheritance. You are left with a will from your father containing a map of where he has hid the treasures for you. The letter is long and he hasn't made it straight forward but knows if you read it word for word and search with everything you've got, you will find the clues he's left for you. If you tire and put the letter away you wont find all those gems, and even maybe loose the few you've found. If you persist, You will have them all at the end and can claim your inheritance.
The Holy bible is your map. The jewels are truth. The truth will set you free. This letter was intended for only you on this quest. Forget about everything else right now. Use that brilliant mind God gave you. Study & learn for yourself. Your father will give you a helper. As you get deeper into the letter your father will reveal much more to you than you ever knew about him. If you loose your way and something doesn't fit, backtrack. it has to make sense and fit nicely together. It cannot contradict.
A good place to start would be the New Testament. Learn Christs teachings and Feed yourself with the milk first to get your foundtions in Christ. The more you seek with a pure heart, the more God will reveal to you. As you continue through, you will move on to more solid food. May Christ guide you on your search for the kingdom & fill you.

Luke 4/43 I christ must preach the kingdom of God (the Word) to all the other cities also because for this purpose I (the Spirit of truth) have been sent. receive the truth coming out of christ mouth and you are in his kingdom but many are in satans kingdom if satan (the liar) cast out satan (liars) he is divided against himself how then will his kingdom stand. but good news christ teaches the kingdom with his words which cannot lie
