"Who Art in Heaven"

After Our Father comes “Who Art.” In common terms this means “is” or “exists.” Our Father is real, He exists not in myth or legend, but in truth. He is here and we acknowledge His being. We can go to Him and know He will be there; we can speak and know He listens; we can listen and know he will answer us because He is real. He calls himself “I am” so we can be assured without question, “He is.”

“In Heaven.” With this simple phrase Yeshua begins to instruct us about who our Father actually is. Being In his presence is being in heaven. Heaven is not a location as we often imagine, it is a relationship. All we could ever want or need is perfectly fulfilled by His presence and only by His presence. Nothing else is needed, nothing else matters; when we are with Him we have everything. No hunger, no pain, no loss, no fear, no need, no doubt; nothing but the pure experience of His presence. When we are in His presence, creation is fulfilled and we are complete.

"Hallowed be Thy Name"

“Hallowed” is often translated as sacred and revered, yet it is more. Hallowed is perfect in goodness and righteousness. It is one venerated above all others, holy and deserving of our total praise and honor; one whom we can only worship in ever increasing exaltation, never being able to give the full measure of glory so richly deserved.

“Thy name” in our age refers to a person’s identity. Bob instead of Larry; or Alice not Sue. In earlier times, it meant much more. A name spoke of a person’s character. A name included all of the attributes possessed by that person, their truthfulness, honesty, compassion, trustworthiness. A name is the summation of a person’s very being. So, it is here too.

The hallowed name of God is worthy of everything we can possibly give, and then even more.

The gospel establishes things for believers like this

“And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But notice how this begins to change us not before we hear and learn but it’s instructing something pertaining to the father and his children setting a goal
In front of us who believe many want o hear “ God is my father he’s chosen me as his beloved child I’m new “ but then it becomes hard to hear this from the same soirce for some folks

“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:25-26‬ ‭

this begins to take things to another level because it is set in these places among these other truths of God

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Part of learning that God is our father is there to bro g us close to him so we start to learn from him like children learn from thier daddy it teaches us repentance and upright living and as we grow up in understanding so our accountability is raised up each person is accountable only for what hey themselves know and understand and judgement is based upon that variance

“And that servant, which knew his Lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes.

For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:
‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:47-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

These things come to our ears when we come to Jesus we’re learning from the father

“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭

Hearing the truth of life

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭

as we hear and believe we are being developed into new people through the process of hearing and believing the truth

Notice th at we’re in an ongoing process

“if so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; ( hear and believe the gospel )

and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. ( notice they already are members now are being instructed to repentence and obedience they won’t earn it later they are just learning to live up to the promise )

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: ( he’s not condemning the thoer but instructing repentance ) but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:21-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we are born of grace and through belief and then as we begin to hear and learn and develope we are given instructions that make us grow we can’t keep o goring the word but we also can’t earn our place in the fathers heart as his children were given a choice of eternal life or death and freedom to choose in him
