No I read your words carefully you implied they intendef to sin prior to satans involvment maybe you meant something else but thats what you wrote not me
No, I implied they were tempted before satan came, Huge difference. They had a desire, or willingness to do the thing they did.

Some one with a gun can make you jump in a lake same for strong influences
so satan made me do it?

I hope this is not what you are implying, That is a dangerous place to be,m to be unwilling to admit your are the cause of your own sin. and have no one to blame but yourself.

So we can tempt ourselves into disobedience? That's a new wrinkle. If God would have killed Satan in the beginning, we'd still be in the same shape as we are today without the Tempter.

There have been several posts about adam and eve, many saying eve was deceived and adam disobeyed God ect....
I never thought alot about it much, as sin was sin, and it began with them, and praise God! ended with Jesus's sacrifice.

But the other night, as I was reading the bible, this thought came to mind and I wonder what your thoughts might be on this.
So lets say eve was decieved when she ate the forbidden fruit, and yes adam knew and disobeyed.

But this is the thing that brought me to think alot about it all...
Eve took a bite of the forbidden fruit before adam, and then took the fruit to adam...
So eve had recieived the knowladge of good and evil before she gave the fruit to adam and yet, still gave adam the fruit to eat, knowing the death she was bringing to him.
Maby not a big deal in understanding of the word, but , it spoke of a truth that we all do know...
That evil begets evil, and this was the first of this as well.

Anyway, just something that I was pondering.
Please share your thoughts on this subject. :)

an interesting thought, but it appears their eyes were open to know good and evil at the same time.

Genesis 3:6-7 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Very interesting view point and I had not even thought of this before. Good points for sure. Only little nuance is that I always felt moreso that even though Eve transgressed she wasn't intentionally trying to murder Adam, but merely she was twisted by the serpent's lies and didn't know what she was doing.

Moreso accidental killing than pre-meditated murder to use a modern type parable to describe my viewpoint on Eve giving Adam the fruit.

So my belief that satan can not make someone do what he does not want to do is flawed?

All I did was ask you a question. and because of that I am evil?? wow

I take it you have learned nothing from Christ.
Satan could not get Christ to sin. He could not even get Job to sin. even when God allowed him to take all Job had. And again, I ask this in ignorance, Because you still have not answered my question.

I am not sure where these continued attacks come from. If you want to discuss something, lets discuss it. But these attacks are irrevelent and not productive whatsoever.

[h=3]Genesis 2:16-17[/h]21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

[SUP]16 [/SUP]And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; [SUP]17 [/SUP]but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it. For in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die.”

Eve and Adam both knew they had done wrong after they ate from the tree, why? Because they hid from God when He came to walk with them in the garden. Then when God questioned them they proceeded to place blame on anything or anyone around them - mainly snake and Eve. Who was at fault? They both were - even though Eve was deceived she had been warned and she knew she was wrong. Adam taking the fruit from Eve knew before he ate it that it was wrong.

Sin is very tricky - Satan places a thought/temptation in your mind and then the fun part happens we dwell on that sin thinking how nice it would be to taste, feel, do, have, lust, want to do that sin. Instead our minds should run to Jesus/God just as Eve should have turned and run from the tree and back to God and His safety, but we know the outcome of that situation and we know how often we fall too.

The next time you are tempted RUN to God in prayer and turn from the sin that is placed before you. Trust me these words are for my heart as they are for yours. I need to do this also. May God help us all as we seek to draw closer to Him.

dude you have issues.

1. Nothing you said offended me
2. Nothing you said was read in an offensive mode.

I made a statement, that Adam and Eve were already thinking about eating of the fruit before satan came to tempt them

Your answer was I was wrong. That satan drew them away.

I responded in a non judgmental way, that maybe you misunderstood me, And explained why I thought so

How did you respond?

You read my words and knew exactly what I meant (here is where the judgmental attitude started)

Your the one who Got angry at the comment, Not me.

If you get angry because someone does not understands you and wants to clarify what your saying, then maybe this is not the place for you?

have a nice life. I pray you do not treat everyone who asks you a simple question about what your saying in this mean hateful way.

If you want to discuss what I realy said (you still do not understand what I said, period) if you think you do, your mistaken.

then let me know. if all you want to do is act like a kid who got his toy taken away, then move on.

Bad wording here other points ok. The word says we are snared by sin when we are drawn away Satan caused eve to be drawn away and Adam was drawn away by eve but the point is wording. Just a thought
Satan does not draw you away to sin....your own lust draws you away to sin. Satan may tempt you, but it is the lust of your own flesh that is enticed and causes you be drawn away[James 1.14]

Satan never caused one person to SIN. We SIN because we chose to SIN

EG,
He arrogantly told folks on another thread, based on their answers, that if he were a seminary professor he would flunk most of them.

Anyone that has to tell me how well they know their Bible and are so well learned and much they have to study for their ministry are usually the ones that work for God and not with God....
