its not outside context, Jude is referring to an event that happened where angels left their heavenly realm. Gen 6 is the only other place in the bible where this is mentioned. Jude also connects the story with Sodom, a Canaanite city and Canaan was full of nephilim, and where is the only other place nephilim are mentioned, Gen 6. its not that hard to see.
The are several mentions in the Bible about the "sons of God" -----ben 'elohiym and these Hebrew word(s) are the same everytime. ANGELS

Using the Hebrew does not make it anymore defined, if it does can you or anyone show where bene elohim is used for fallen angels or anyone in rebellion towards God. Because it these are angels they would be fallen and reeling against God. Where as men God views them different, like David and adulterer yet God seen him as a man after His own heart. God has grace for man, not angels. But here's the text can you go through the context to show how fallen angels fit this storyline of genealogies/generation? Children/sons are the same and Israel are called children of God, so stick to the context and show everyone how they are fallen angels.

Genesis 4:11 And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.” 13 Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” 15 Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him. 16 Then Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

17
Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. When he built a city, he called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch. 18 To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad fathered Mehujael, and Mehujael fathered Methushael, and Methushael fathered Lamech. 19 And Lamech took two wives. The name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. 20 Adah bore Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. 21 His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe. 22 Zillah also bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.

23 Lamech said to his wives:“Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; you wives of Lamech, listen to what I say: I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for striking me. 24 If Cain's revenge is sevenfold, then Lamech's is seventy-sevenfold.”

25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” 26 To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord.

5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. 2 Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created. 3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.4 The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters. 5 Thus all the days that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died.

6
When Seth had lived 105 years, he fathered Enosh. 7 Seth lived after he fathered Enosh 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Thus all the days of Seth were 912 years, and he died.

9
When Enosh had lived 90 years, he fathered Kenan. 10 Enosh lived after he fathered Kenan 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Thus all the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died.

12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he fathered Mahalalel. 13 Kenan lived after he fathered Mahalalel 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Thus all the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.

15
When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he fathered Jared. 16 Mahalalel lived after he fathered Jared 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Thus all the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died.

18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he fathered Enoch. 19 Jared lived after he fathered Enoch 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Thus all the days of Jared were 962 years, and he died.

21
When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah. 22 Enoch walked with God after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters.23 Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.

25
When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he fathered Lamech. 26 Methuselah lived after he fathered Lamech 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Thus all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died.

28
When Lamech had lived 182 years, he fathered a son [SUB]29 [/SUB]and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground that the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.” 30 Lamech lived after he fathered Noah 595 years and had other sons and daughters.31 Thus all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died.

32
After Noah was 500 years old, Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
6:1 When men began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them,2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose.3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.”4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.5 The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.6 And the Lordregretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart.7 So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.”8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

9
These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11
Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence.12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.13 And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth....

10:1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood........32 These are the clans of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations, and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood....
11:10 These are the generations of Shem. When Shem was 100 years old, he fathered Arpachshad two years after the flood...11 And Shem lived after he fathered Arpachshad 500 years and had other sons and daughters....27 Now these are the generations of Terah. Terah fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran fathered Lot.

Sons of the first creation. Note that when Genesis describes the creation of mankind, it has two different stories.

In the first one, they are 'male and female'... there is no story about how first it was male, and then a female was taken out of it.

In the first one they are given dominion over the whole earth and given all the plants to eat. There is no passage about being put in Eden specifically and then God letting them eat from all kinds of trees except one. That is only in the second story.

Again, in the first one there is a chronology about how everything is formed, from the plants, to the birds and sea creatures, to the land animals, and then to man. But in the second one, Man is first, then he is placed in the garden where God causes plants spring up, and -then- God forms animals and brings them to be named.

So it would seem these are two separate stories about separate kinds of beings. The first kind is made in God's image and not put in a garden with any restrictions; the second is made from the dust of the earth, God's breath of life is breathed in, and a very detailed story is given.

And there you have an answer for the sons of God -- they're from the first creation in Genesis 1. They are not angels, but they clearly aren't quite like humans, if they can conceive giants with humans.

I don't know if this is completely true, but it works better than just saying they were angels (are angels sons or servants? are angels in the image of God?), and also better than saying giants are a result of human interracial marriage. There's strange creatures in Revelations, so it is not as if angels and man are the only spiritual beings God created.

You don't have to take my word for it. Some things we only know when God wants us to.

…27God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth." 29Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;…

Sir Could you show this old man where the two stories are? Where God created male and female? Thank you.

These verses are interesting, God blessed them and said to multiply, then later in chapter 3

…27God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

16To the woman He said,
“I will greatly multiply
Your pain in childbirth,
In pain you will bring forth children;
Yet your desire will be for your husband,
And he will rule over you.”

Well I don't know my friend, going into indepth details here At CC seems to just push people's buttons, not saying I'm leaving but I've been looking around at other Christian sites that are more open to advance theology, I have talked about stuff here and I have seen others talk about out of the box style of theology, but I don't feel as if it's welcomed much, leaps of faith can be a hard thing to do for anybody me included.

LOL I know what you mean...There are those here who are only interested in showing how much they know, putting people down, or just plain fighting...Non Christian behavior They think themselves as the elite apparently...

In truth I'm findint it delightfully quiet now, since at least a dozen people have apparently ostracized me...I like that.

Sons of GOD........ Gen 6:2..."2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

6:2.." וַיִּרְאוּ בְנֵי־הָֽאֱלֹהִים אֶת־בְּנֹות הָֽאָדָם כִּי טֹבֹת הֵנָּה וַיִּקְחוּ לָהֶם נָשִׁים מִכֹּל אֲשֶׁר בָּחָֽרוּ׃

Phrase "that the sons" Strong's (h1121) Hebrew בֵּן Meaning ..ben

Phrase "of God" Strong's (h430) Hebrew אֱלֹהִים Meaning 'elohiym

That the Sons of GOD........וַיִּרְאוּ בְנֵי־הָֽאֱלֹהִים

Using the Hebrew does not make it anymore defined, if it does can you or anyone show where bene elohim is used for fallen angels Well if the angels in heaven are sin free and these angels came to earth, Forced the Daughters of men to be their wives, I would call that sin. Would that not constitute a Fallen Angel in your book????

The lines of SETH will not work....Answer this question....Why only was Sethites restricted to Cananite Women???????

AND can you explain how Giants and all types of evil resulted in this??????

Maybe The Angels are not under God's Grace but in 1 timothy 5:21 he tells us the remaining angels are "Elect"..

Who are the sons of God described in Genesis 6:1-8?
Nephilim comes from the Hebrew root word nun-peh-lamed.

The word nephilim translates: fallen one or the fallible one.

Even though any Hebrew noun ending in "IM" is plural. KJV adds an s. This translates fallen one's.

These fallen one's/giants of old. Are rebellious renegade enemies of the Heavenly dimension. Engaged in constant spiritual warfare with the true God.

This battle is mapped out in Gen 3:15 The seed of the deceived women will be at enmity with the serpents seed. And would eventually defeat/destroy the serpents seed.

These fallen ones that left their natural state Jude 1:6 - 2 Peter 2:4. Who saw that the daughters of men were fair. Infected/corrupted the human gene pool. An attempt to stop the promised seed of the woman.

Genesis 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
(NOTE: By the time we get to this point the human gene pool is completely corrupted/infected by these ""soul-less"" fallen angels.

Genesis 6:9 (B) Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations.
(NOTE: Noah's gene pool had remained perfect - uncorrupted/untainted.
