What he described took place in heaven.

Rev 8:1
When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

I don't think we can understand time and dimensional space with certainty until we have passed on.
All our ideas are speculation. I don't believe eternity is quantified as endless time either. But I don't KNOW with certainty. The physics of heaven & the comining new heaven & earth may quite different to the reality we experience now.

It's an interseting discussion point but I don't think it's an area were we should be dogmatic.

All I'm doing here is highlighting one piece of scriptural evidence. Above, ewq has mentioned another. Rev 22:2,
where The Tree of Life is seen yielding fruit every month. These are time-references. Very few of us have seen into eternity
or heaven. John gave us the report of an eye witness. We must take it seriously. We may have to adjust our ideas about
time. There is nothing wrong with that.

Have it your way...the wrong way...there is no time in the spiritual world. Eternity is no time frame as we know time keeping on earth. Earth is always understood as a time frame...but not God and His spiritual world.
Example...God has always existed. He always will.
Get it?.....No time.
study scriptures.

I don't know what you think "my way" or "the wrong way" is.

I'm not claiming to understand exactly how God has constructed all that exists.
All I've tried to do is call your attention to something you may not have considered. For the purpose of discussion.
I've always believed God & eternity exist outside time. (at least as we know it).
But there is nothing wrong with scrutinising one's own views.

You are advising me to study scripture, while avoiding some scriptures regarding time & eternity.
That's inconsistent.

I did...long ago...scripture does not change therefore what I concluded then applies now.
Like I said...have it your way.

What I see in these posts is...failure to acknowledge that there is no time in the spirit world.
What does that have to do with the false doctrine of Soul Sleep? And just for your edification time has a bearing on the spirit world as seen in this passage: And white robes were given unto every one of them [souls and spirits]; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. (Rev 6:11) "A little season" means "a short duration of time". Now granted that for God a thousand years are as one day, because He is neither limited by time nor by space. But time does have a bearing on the spirit world. Which demolishes your theory.

....time expired....

......I concluded long ago based on scriptures which does not change therefore what I concluded then applies now and will apply in the future....because the Bible does not change.
Having said that I hasten to add...new age religion types want to add a new interpretation to set the stage for a new bible edition, for money, etc.......examples;....baptism not required....OSAS...universalism....3 gods(The Father, Son and Holy Spirit).... Don't fall for that malarkey, etc.
If we listen to God's word,....His Word is very clear and again, never changes.

...a little season...is hardly a validation of time.

Please try more sincerely.

It is your post which is insincere. Souls having to wait for vengeance is an obvious example of time spent waiting.

False things in this thread:

Time doesn't exist in heaven. (or in the eternity) FALSE.
When a person dies, their soul falls asleep. FALSE.
When a person dies, their soul is also dead. FALSE.

You and I are finished with this topic.
Be blessed.

It is your intent to suggest that those items are mine...THEY ARE NOT.
Shame on you for the attempted inference.

Jesus' mom had a soul, a spirit, and a heart.
(Luke 1:46-17 + Luke 2:19 & 51)

Well; if her soul went into hibernation when Mary passed away; then what
situation might've befallen her spirit and her heart?
