The garden is on hold this year. 
There still is a lot to do outside besides the garden. It looks like I will be working on those things first this year. (When I get those tree lines trimmed that will help a lot)
If anyone comes bring marshmallows,brats and hot dogs. Bon fire.
(I have a burn pile that will keep me busy for a few days or so)
Today is running to the po,meeting up with a friend for breakfast,getting some buns and bread at the store,and then dealing with the plumber.

Good morning dear friends Been busy trying to keep up with work and the yard goings on around here lately. Fence was finished on Saturday, thank God. We couldn't get the guy building it out of here fast enough. We liked his design the best but felt like we were on "damage control" every day he was here working. Wasn't one of those who paid attention to detail. At the end of the day though, we'll be alright. A few tweaks here and there and all will be fine. Just a bit bothersome that you pay good money for something and you end up being happy to "settle" ... just to get the guy outta here. Soooo ... that's that, I spose. Grabbed my early morning coffee yesterday morning and headed downstairs to the puter for a quick minute and discovered a leak in the basement ... which means it needs to be rectified sooner rather than later. Along the front of the house too right beside the porch, which likely means serious money. But I can't leave it. So that'll be next. Guys coming tonight for an estimate. So what did I do yesterday ? I decided to take the day off from work (I needed it) and spend some time starting to clean up and landscape the back with Grace. And as I was muddling my thoughts of my leaking basement while digging and preparing the backyard for plants and shrubs, I looked over at Grace who was working on her knees 10 feet beside me ... in the dirt, smiling to herself and happy as a lark ... because we were spending quality time together making the yard look pretty. And then it hit me. Don't sweat the small things in life and count your blessings. Things could be worse. Much worse. And it was Grace's not so self-contained contentment that made me appreciate that which really matters ... and not to worry about circumstances that we can't control. Sometimes I wonder if she even realizes the effect her easy going and nonchalant manner has on me. I thanked God for her in that moment ... and we had a beautiful day. God is great, isn't He ? See you nuts later tonight . I love you guys, each and everyone
