Just some thoughts concerning primitive people several thousand years ago (around 6,000 onwards)...
We read from early on in Genesis that Adam was a farmer, as were two of his children, Cain and Abel.
Cain murdered Abel, left home and built the first city.
Adam and Eve
Cain and Abel
Abel deceased, Cain leaves home, Seth born to Adam and Eve.
Cain's descendants:
(Enoch
Irad
Mehujael
Methushael
Lamech
Jabal, Jubal, Tubal-Cain)
Some generations later, Lamech the first polygamist (no, not Noah's dad) had three important sons - Jabal, Jubal and Tubal-Cain. Jabal invented animal husbandry, Jubal invented musical instruments and Tubal-Cain invented metallurgy.
All that within the first 7 generations - probably the first few hundred years following Creation
(depending on how long a generation was back then).
