A small while back, I saw some threads discussing the topic of pornography and why you should avoid it.
It reminded me of someone making the comment once "What is the big deal? It's just sex on camera." Thing is, those sexual acts on camera have a bigger influence on you than you think. It can make you into a totally different person. From the way you think to what you want out of life and relationships. It typically starts off in a first view for most like this. "Well, I'll just watch it just to see what all the fuss is about." Curiosity. Or "So and so told me about this site and I should check it out." Peer influence.
After you get away with it the first time. Perhaps it makes you feel good, relaxes you. Perhaps it releases some sexual frustration, anxiety and/or curiosity you had bottled up. Because it has those effects, you get tempted to watch more and more. You start becoming dependent on it to function in life. Goes from a want to a need, because you know what it does for you and you gotta have more of it. The lines of ever being enough starts to blur.
Even the most self-controlled person is not immune to potential addiction. Don't take the chance and don't start a bad habit. Pornography is poison to the mind, body, soul and a threat to humanity for being an outlet to human trafficking.
As for me, I was guilty of watching it in my teenage years. But after the lord came to me and showed me a sign of what happening behind the scenes. The damage being done. I've quit it for good.
Don't know if rants are allowed here. But, had to post my thoughts.
