I know someone who saw an ad for a pet monkey online....They paid for the monkey, then waited and it never showed up. So they went back online and the ad was gone and the person deleted their account....She lost a lot of money on a monkey that would have been illegal to own anyway....
see what i mean? sheriff

btw, i'm doing soooo well playing with my grandsons as often as possible.

sigh... all the fun; none of the responsibility ;)

Gee, MailmanDan, I would rep you anonymously, but it is not my style. So call me eliminated from the list of possible suspects.

I have been not on this thread for a while. So I come with cap in hand, begging for prayer.

The RA med I have been hoping would work for the last 6 months, has some major deficits with it. Like 2-3 days my hands are almost non-functional and in pain, and I have to wear every manner of wrist, finger splints and something to hold the right little finger from subluxing under my hand. But my big joints and lower body are mostly under control. Meaning I can walk more or less, (not including deformities) and ride my bike in the basement. But no bike outdoors, because the hands cannot hold on to the handle bars well enough, despite daily exercises and weights, and squishy plasticine stuff.

There is a med I was on 10 years ago, that worked really well in combo with a DMARD. So far, Arava seems to be doing well, in that regard, with only a few minor liver enzyme issues, as side effects.

But my rheumatologist has never prescribed the old med before. Plus, if I go off the med I am on, insurance won't let me go back to it, and these drugs are too expensive to pay for out of pocket. The other issue, is that the old med just won't work at all without a supporting med. So if Arava fails, I am back to square one, but this time with no place to go. At all!

So I am asking for prayer that God would really make it clear what I am to do about RA treatment. To stay on the med I am on, working 4-5 days a week, or go back to the old med?

I'm going to be posting this in the prayer forum too. If you see it there, you only have to pray once, not two times. Of course, that means at the same time, not daily. Or something!

our Father, we come to You for our sister Angela. thank You for this site and thank You that we get to know her and be part of her life and she part of ours.
Lord, i confess i'm flummoxed. but i ask You, in Your mercy and goodness, to grant her wisdom regarding the meds issue.
please relieve the pain in whatever way You deem best, and thank You for that.

i'm not wise, Lord God, but You are! thank You for giving the doc Your very own wisdom. and Father? health care systems are no match for You, this i know. Your everlasting love for Angela will rule the day whatever happens.
You are a gracious and kind Father, and i seek You and thank You in the Name of our Eternal Savior, amen.

Dear Angela ... I'm so sorry to hear of your suffering ...

Have you heard of a med called Lyrica? When my neck arthritis wore down my spinal disc to naught the doc prescribed Lyrica for the spinal cord nerve pain AND damage. He said it had some damage reversal properties. I have the same small finger problem ... but it only grabs me momentarily once in a blue moon and my neck arthritis has not worn down the disc again as the doc promised it would. Might be worth looking into.

Hugs,
Hope you feel better soon~

It is always that way lol When it is the first few weeks of the month and I have food in the house. I am never really hungry and nothing ever sounds to good but by the end of the month when I have barley any food I find that I am hungry all the time lol . It is a psychological thing you have your mind fighting you when you want to fast.
