I'm just peaking in here again. I've been sort of trying to avoid the BDF, but that doesn't include this thread!
My scar is still open, but I am walking again. There is only so long I can be confined to a wheelchair and using crutches. I was hoping for some summer weather, but western Canada is cool right now. Hmm! I am supposed to be living in a semi-desert, one of the warmest places in Canada. I hear the east has been hot.
My garden is growing wonderfully. Lots of carrots, peas, snow peas, turnips, beets, lettuce so far. And the tomatoes and peppers are setting, but they need a bit more warmth to turn to red. The beans aren't ready yet, but soon, along with the zucchinis.
How is everyone doing?

Well, I won't be getting Tangerine after all. 
She is almost 5 years old and has some dental issues which will require surgery.. Aaargh.. Feels like the universe is against me getting a cat of ANY color. :/

No.. She's older than what I want, and has some dental issues. I'll wait through July and see if any more orange ones come available. They're being brought up here from Maryland and Miami right now, so we'll see. Just seems like God keeps dangling (orange) cats in my face, only to yank them away again. This really sucks and I'm running out of time..
You don't understand, Pilk.. My birthday is in October. We're almost into July already. I started looking for cats/kittens even before I had Tequila put to sleep in March. Every time I get a lead on cats, it doesn't work out. I adopted a kitten a couple weeks ago, and returned her because she was sick and had been exposed to other kittens there who had URI. I cannot and will not take care of another sick cat! One orange cat at the HS is too timid and skittish. I don't want a wimpy cat. Another one is almost 5 and has dental issues. My 2nd choice of cat is Lindor, who is black, but I REALLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYY want another orange cat.. However, they seem to keep eluding me.
I WANT another cat BEFORE my birthday. The late-year holidays will be here soon. This year is already crappy enough for me. I lost my cat, then Sukee, who is my parent's cat and I loved her dearly, then I had to return my kitten. This year is REALLY gonna suck if I'm alone on my bday AND all the holidays.. :/ I can't even put into words how desperate I am for an orange cat right now. I wish God would hurry up.
