I know I have been absent for some time, but I have been busy with "real world" stuff.
Mainly, my health situation. Going back and forth to the VA Hospital and various Doctors. Guess I should give those of you who know about this an update.
I saw the Neurosurgeon last week for a Consultation and Assessment. Basically, they decided that what they could do for me they have done for me, and did not see how they could do any more to further my recovery. Thus, they discharged me from Neurosurgery Care. I guess that is good news.............at least, that is how I am seeing it.
I saw the Physical Medicine Doctor who has been overseeing my Treatments and Physical Therapy for the last 80 days. He also said he believed that there was not much more they could do to further my recovery. I should just keep doing my Therapy Treatments at home, and, hopefully, in time (3 or 4 months possibly) I would see a significant gain in recovery and reduction in pain. Again, I am seeing this as good news, rather than not so good.
I am getting a new Primary Care Doctor next week, and I hope he is more experienced in my area of concern, so that he can guide me onward towards a full recovery. I accept that this may well not be possible, and, if that is so, then I accept that. Still, in the last 80 days, I have come so far that it is a blessing from God. I also have a few Tests scheduled in January, but I may not have to complete these since I have been discharged from both the Neurology and Physical Medicine Departments. Will find out next week when I see my new PC Doctor.
In any event, I thank God for having got me this far on the road to recovering as "normal" a life as possible.
I know some of you have been praying for me all along, and I thank each of you for your prayers.
God bless...........and Merry Christmas
