Mostly, I am a stand alone kind of person. I don't often seek others to lean on or some such. There are some who are called "huggers." You know them! 
Those that can't see anyone walk by without grabbing 'em and squeezing......hugging. And, there are some that are Sunday morning huggers.........those that will give a quick half hug to friends at Church. And every family has an Aunt _____(whatever) who will squeeze the life outta ya at Family Reunions.......We all try hard to avoid being caught in her clutches..........geesssshhhhhh.
Still, hugs can be beneficial, and are important I suppose. I admit that I will on occasion hug a family member (but just a quick one) I know that hugs can reassure folks that they are loved and that people care about them, so that is a good thing......so, I am not completely against hugs........
Because there are times, even for me, when things just get overwhelming, and we grow weary of fighting the battles of life, and we really, really need a GOD HUG.......God hugs are GREAT!
Deuteronomy 33:27) The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
Isaiah 40:11) He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
Isaiah 46:4) And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
Isaiah 33:2) O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Update::
Aidan is doing wonderful, I’m healing nicely.. lack of sleep is no fun.. and bottle feedings are getting easier to adjust too! He’s already a week old and I just can’t believe how much he’s already grown since I had him last Monday!
hope everyone is doing well. And just be praying we all don’t get sick this coming winter!
