I know a man who is now 96. He was still driving at 93, I don't know whether he still is as I moved and lost touch with him.
He still lived independently and had all his wits about him.
He had no serious illnesses in fact if I remember correctly the only medication he took was blood thinners.
I asked him his secret. His reply was "save water and drink champagne"

I may not look it, but, Lord willing, I'll turn 60 this December.

Time does seem to be moving at an accelerated rate, and Christ's second coming is closer now than ever before.

Let's be found laboring for him.

Matthew chapter 24

[42] Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
[43] But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
[44] Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
[45] Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
[46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
[47] Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
[48] But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
[49] And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
[50] The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
[51] And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

@Magenta have you seen this series. I haven't but I am meaning to watch it. There are three series with various episodes. Alot of people have said it is good not so much the first few episodes but gets better. I am planning to watch it.

Thank you, Ms Ruby, I will check it out :D

I have been watching lots of stuff on Netflix... some of it has been quite good,
but I am casting about at this point looking for something to fill the bill :)

Good morning, friends :)

Good morning, friends :)
The Chosen is a television drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, created, directed and co-written by American filmmaker Dallas Jenkins. It is the first multi-season series about the life of Christ, and season one was the highest crowd-funded TV series or film project of all time.[1][2] The series' creators stated that they had hoped to distinguish the new series from previous portrayals of Jesus by crafting a multi-season, episode-based story.[3] The series portrays Jesus "through the eyes of those who met him".[4] In addition to VidAngel and its own app, the series airs on several streaming services.

It's been 37 years for me. Time flies after high school. It felt like it took 100 years to go by from the time I started school in kindergarten to the time I graduated from high school in 1984. Since I graduated high school, these last 37 years felt more like only 10-15 years went by.
I never did graduate :giggle: I dropped out in grade 12 but did eventually get my grade 12 equivalent before going to college where I dropped out again at the beginning of the second year 😂 If I had graduated high school with my peers, it would have been forty eight years ago :devilish:

Blessings,
I honestly feel the same as I did when I was but 16 (except when I have to run more than a few yards), but I am a lot older than I apparently look (based upon what others often tell me).

Anyhow, regardless of our ages, eternity is at stake for all of us and for the whole world, and we'd do well to redeem whatever time we have left upon this earth wisely.

The Lord fully expects whatever he's given us back with interest.

We don't want to be found empty-handed on the day of the Lord's reckoning.

Matthew chapter 25

[14] For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
[15] And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
[16] Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
[17] And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
[18] But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
[19] After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
[20] And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
[21] His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
[22] He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
[23] His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
[24] Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
[25] And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
[26] His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
[27] Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
[28] Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
[29] For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
[30] And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Wow, he has done well for himself.
My ex looked after his mom for about six years as she slid inexorably into dementia, and by the time she passed, he stayed on to keep looking after his dad, who would have been in his late 80s at that time, so that has no doubt helped :)

Does the queen send a card to people in Canada, I think she does to people over here. I shall be expecting one in years to come.
Yes, she does, as we are part of the Commonwealth: a loose, voluntary association of Britain and most of its former colonies. The Commonwealth of Nations is made up of 53 countries, including Canada, that were for the most part once part of the British Empire. :D
