love that little song sung in a round.
like bells ringing. :)

here in the northeastern US, it's all rocky ground.
there are many such stone bridges, older than the nation.

I once saw the Pont Julien in southern France, it was pretty old, from roman times I think.

I leave the forum to take care of some tasks, come back maybe 15 or 20 minutes later and you guys are pages ahead!! And heaven forbid I don't sign on until late afternoon or evening... it's like reading a small novel to get to the last post. Of course, I've GOT to skim through them all for fear I will have missed a post of epic proportions such as this:

Oh, don't I know it! ...LOL I wouldn't eat margarine if you paid me. It's equivalent to eating melted plastic. It's toxic! Yeah, give me farm fresh butter any day. YUMMY!
And processed in the identical manner as making plastic. There are more carcinogens in everyday margarine (hydrogenated oil) than there is in cigarettes. I use both Becel (non-hydrogenated oil) and butter :)

Just coming back on from watching the Royals game -- we won 4-1, by the way, sweeping the White Sox -- but the story of the game was Paulo Orlando. Only the third player from Brazil to play in the major leagues, he played 1,017 games in the minors. He's 29 years old. Lot of people in KC have wondered why he stuck it out so long. The average minor league career, when the player doesn't make it to a major league roster, is four and a half years.

Today, his first MLB hit was a triple -- going from home to third in 11 seconds! (That's fast, boys and girls.) Scored on Sal Perez's home run. He was an Olympic alternate in the 100 and 200 in 2004 and 2008 for Brazil.

He did the post-game interview. Of course, KC post-game interviewer Joel Goldberg asked him "How did that feel?"

His first words? "I want to thank God for letting me have this experience, keeping me healthy all these years, so I can play before these great fans."

My kind of player.

Trying to catch up on this thread,...it.....made me want to toss my iPad at the wall.

Then I remembered I don't have an iPad. :(
.........and throwing things isn't cool.
I got a Sony VAIO 2-in-1 you can throw. My new Microsoft Surface 3 won't mind.
