These are what they call "mid-term" elections, they are at the half way point of the every 4 year general elections.
I keep hearing there is some monkeying around with the vote counts, especially Arizona and Nevada.

I also hear the the President Trump endorsed candidates won over 179 to 9.
I also have heard that many state legislatures now have conservative super majorities now, making them very strong against the liberal side.

hi, Ruby :)

the framers of our nation, in the US Constitution, gave us a bicameral federal legislative branch.
that's smart guy fancy talk for two chambers of lawmakers, lol

in the House of Representatives the members serve two year terms, thus all are elected every two years.
in the Senate the members serve six year terms, and one third are up for reelection every two years.

you're correct! the president serves a four year term. he or she may only serve two terms, and Mr Biden, who was elected in 2020, is in office till the next 'major' election in 2024.

we call these elections this year, the midterms because they're held in the middle of the president's term of service.

clears it right up, eh? :p

Thanks for the explanation. Elections here in Aus is far more simple lol. Also here it is compulsory to vote. If you dont there is a pretty hefty fine. I agree with it being compulsory.

thank you for telling me that! i had no idea voting is compulsory there.
it isn't here, but considering the time it takes to count votes nowadays, it may not be a bad thing. :p

Good morning friend Mission21, 4:38 here.
Talked to my Dr. yesterday, imparted Holy Spirit to her, she was amazed.
My coffee consumption will be limited to 2 to 3 a day, been seeing a nice series of YT videos on taking care of liver, kidneys, etc. past 50, a lot of great stuff out there.
