I remember in the 70s our teachers said the hole in the ozone was caused by spray cans that use flourocarbons so the use of it was banned in 1979. Then they started using hydroflourocarbons which actually helped repair the ozone, but they banned those too because they were putting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

they also thought in the early 70's that there was going to be another ice age....

No not at all mostly. Many think he was cruel to Diana. Aus is wanting to break from England. They were waiting for the queen to pass. It may happen now though.

Pretty much here as well, had a friend from Scotland who had no use for the royals either.

Scotland here too. Some people camped out for a week outside Buckingham Palace to see Charles pass out for a moment. Support for monarchy seems to be fervent among royalists. Among the rest, not so much. God Bless :)
