All this hype today over the creation...
imagine if this much focus was given to the Creator.

so the topic is "no topic". so why is anyone speaking? hahahaha! can anyone truly talk about nothing? yes! nothing to do sometimes is good because the body calls for it. but nothing to say is different. we can talk about nothing only when nothing is the subject objectively or subjectively. if one cogitates & converses on nothing you'll see it's quite amazing to spend time on nothing! space is 99% nothing but it exists. how phunnneee nothing can exist. or, "what is she doing"? "nothing"! again, it's funny how we can do nothing & something at the same time. nothing can be anything, something & sometimes, someone. nothing: "no thing"!!!

One Scripture concerning eclipses...

Mark, Chapter 13:

24But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

Several I have read show eclipses to be a "sign" of some event about to take place. No, not saying yesterday was a "doomsday sign" or any such thing. Just telling what Scripture says.
So, since my son was very interested in the eclipse, we did end up outside observing what we could.
We are in a place that was said to only be able to see about 50%.
It was interesting that's for sure, but the darkest it became here was more like looking around outside with a low power pair of sunglasses on a summers day- only without the sunglasses on.

I was thinking about that verse as we listened and watched it live online.
Several times we heard people cheering as the total coverage was nearing, but nearly every time it took place you could hear some of those cheers turn into screams of terror.

Personally, I do not believe that verse of scripture (and other similar verses) is referring to the occurrence of an eclipse; rather, I believe it to be a one-time thing on a much-greater-effect scale than an eclipse, "blood moon", etc. (that people have often stated)

Consider:

Revelation 9:

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

I don't see why anyone would be terrified of something if/when they understood what was going on and that it would pass in a short time and not do any harm in the process.

Now - if a woman screamed because a man grabbed her in the pitch-black darkness - that is something I can understand...

I don't know either, but when you hear something like that and don't say anything about it, and a 13 year old boy is listening along with you and says "that sounded fearful" you realize it wasn't just you 'hearing things'.

"Multi-taskers" ...sigh... I bet y'all know someone who is a multi-tasker, right? Those guys can do several things at once, and mostly, get them done. Me? No, I am not one of them.

I prefer to think of myself as a "Multi-thinker." I can have several thoughts all in my head at the same time.

What? NO, no Dan, that is not a nice way of saying I'm scatter brained!

FROM THE WEE ELEPHANT DICTIONARY:

re-tire: adj; 1. to put new tires on something 2. to become tired again 3. to buy new tennis shoes 4: to have so much time on ones hands to be able to make up silly definitions for words...

Hey, all.

I will be brutally honest here, and admit that even though I've been reading my One Year Bible, every night, I'm skipping the Old Testament parts. The main reason is that in all truth, I just find a lot of the OT to be extremely boring (hey, at least I'm not trying to hide my opinion). I've been taught so many of those events for most of my life - Noah's Ark, David & Goliath, David & Bathsheeba, Moses & the Jews in Eygpt, etc. But after a while, I just quit caring about a lot of the other details - for example, I don't care one bit about the measurements or necessary building materials for the Ark of the Covenant. I'm not Jewish, and I've never studied about or been to Israel, so why should those extremely detailed verses concern me? I'm not saying any of this out of contempt or hate for God (at least, I hope not). He's my Lord, my Savior, my Creator, and my Redeemer; I know there is no way I can ever make it through another day of my life without Him. I know He loves me, and I love Him too...but as for the entirety of His Word, that's another story.
