The one thing I don't like about wearing glasses especially growing up is getting hit in the face with a basketball and a volleyball. In fact I was in PE class and one of the football players in my class spiked the ball and hit me square on the nose, knocking my glasses off and I thought I broke my nose.
gah! that didn't sound fun at all!!!!!!!!!!

Trust me it wasn't fun. In fact right after it happened the teacher wouldn't see if I was okay. I was lost and disoriented trying to get some ice. Although I had to feel my way to the office to get ice.

The teacher didn't care?! I lost my glasses once in P.E. and was on the floor trying to find them when a kid stepped on my finger, we thought I broke it....
if you think not having glasses is bad, then try what 1 teacher convinced me to do....wear beer goggles and spin around a few time....I wiped out a desk...that law enforcement class was interesting...

Nope. Although, it could be partly due to the fact he was a football coach and expected the girls to take pain like a man. But that still is no excuse

I was actually really good at Dodgeball, at least dodging the ball. It didn't help that most of my class was football players and I was always the last one on the team and they would all gang up on me and I would get hit hard.

He shouldn't have done that...I had one gym teacher that made us run until someone got sick....

I loved dodgeball...dodging was what I did best...I was normally the last one in, I could throw decently, but dodging and unusual catches were my best....give me dodgeball, capture the flag, soccer, or football and I was fine....

Do you have a fan Vi?

I don't.
There are plenty of people who wont be lining up for an autograph from me.

I put this to the test, by setting up a card table in my front yard, for signings, .......no one shows up.
Except the Mailman. :(

I loved the school library, in fact when I would go in there the librarian would always put me to work. I cataloged the books for the entire English Department, plus she loved giving me coffee. I enjoy helping people so this part I thoroughly enjoyed every minute, the best part is I do similar things in my work study job.

Yes, my growing pains were painful. Sorry to hear that. :) I didn't reach my full height in one year, but I certainly grew a lot taller just as Year 12 began. Back row in school photos - finally! Booyah!
