Ellie...you wanna hear sumpin? Prolly about 3 times this week...no kidding Before I go to study scriptures. I have randomly opened my bible to the same page and saw that verse that says With God all things are possible!...Its true...its like God must want to stress that to me big time. I cried because I feel its really Him. There's no flaw or crease on that page to make me open to it three times by accident! Ohhh I hope its God doing that because that message is divine! :')
Reminds me of the day after I got laid off from my job of 25 years and I randomly opened the Bible to Hebrews 13:5 in the Amplified Bible and it said three times.... I will not, I will not, I will not leave you without support......It was like God was right in the room with me trying to calm my fears of no longer having a job and not being old enough to collect social security.....I have not been worried about it after reading that....wonderful how He takes care of us and on June 27th it will be two years and God is still taking care of me....

Now I have a hubby to help take care of me too....God is just so very good All the Time....Thanks a bunch Dad!!!

question for oldhermit:

is Heb 13:5 a "triple citation" in Greek?

This could possibly be considered a triple citation although only one statement is an actual quote from Deut 31:8 and 1Chron 28:20. The other two are principles we find elsewhere in the NT. 1 Timothy 3:3, "free from the love of money." and "Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances." I am." Phil 4:11

well, whatever else it is, it's a very good lesson to learn.

What do you do when people keep questioning you, asking when are you going to get a car and drive? When you've told these same people over and over again you have blurry vision and even with the strongest lens, your eye doctor recommends you don't drive because a scar in your eye causes your vision to get worse as life goes on? I don't want to have to keep explaining this all the time, because then I get "how are you going to live? The transportation is bad here. You can't ask for rides all your life." So on and so forth. I respond back with it's no different than someone losing a license due to tooany DUIs, but should I really go about my life having these conversations? (And to answer how I get around, I bike.).

Well, I have found it much easier to simply laugh it off and mostly ignore people in these type of situations. It is very easy for me to see the humor in these type of situations but then again I understand that this is not a characteristic many people possess. Since I do not know you and are not acquainted with you personality this may not be something that would work for you.

We had a couple of storms last night. The first one was the roughest. 60mph winds and lots of hail. A couple of miles after it left me it turned into a tornado. My yard lost a lot of dirt and the creek next to me covered the road. Only the 4th time that's happened since 1984, the year I built the shop.
A before and after on the house across the street for comparison.
The river is out big time and will be, for a few days. Me and mine are safe, thanks to the Good Lord. Ain't He wonderful?:D

This is mainly my family that does it. It's hard to ignore it when they're constantly in your life. I'm thankful to have friends that have never questioned it, and even have had them offer me rides home after ministries at night cause that's when my vision is at its worse.
