What are getting at. Most of the time I pray in tongues its with hot tears rolling down my cheek or just the opposite in shear joy and peace.

Satan hates for us to have the Baptisim in Holy Spirit because he can't
understand what we are praying. He will try to divert attention away
from what we are praying by putting thoughts in our mind. We don't
even have to pray in spirit to have that happen. But it drives him mad
when he can't interfere with 'spiritual warfare.'

You are right, an honest 'tongue speaker' is saying nothing, but the
Holy Spirit is the one using a vessel to pray through.

I don't think it is a matter of who can pray in the spirit contest.
When God has a reason for selecting someone to pray, He alone
knows the answer to this discussion. We are just loving Him and
serving Him until He comes. He is our lifeline and if we can be a
lifeline for someone else to help them up out of a dire situation,
He can use me when He pleases. But I don't go searching for it.
I have to feel Him nudge me and let me know it is time. I hope
you understand. It is God in control and we must be ready at
all times. God bless and remember we need to be in one accord
when we pray for our Country for it to be effective. Amen ?
