Minister I have been to busy to follow the happenings of the thread but my advice to you is if know when to shake the dust off your feet and walk away. Even if there has been unkind words as a minister surely you know already when to walk away from an argument.

The Word of God is "forever settled in heaven", and that Word proclaims: "Let God be true and every man a liar".

Many twist or sometimes completely misinterpret Scriptures ... some out of ignorance ... some intentionally (with the intent of deceiving others or to prove some point).

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God (God breathed), and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect (mature), thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

My desire is that those who believe that all Scripture is "God breathed", will have a place to go for serious, accurate discussions of scriptures.

In this threat, it's my intent that we discuss things that help people live Godly lives, and help them understand God's incredible LOVE towards them!!!

As an Ordained Full Gospel Minister, "Pastor", and "Teacher" of the Word of God ... it's my intent to see that no one is mislead by erroneous postings ... but rather ... that all are blessed by having a place to ask serious questions ... with the assurance that TRUTH will prevail.
as long as you realize a few facts.

1`. you have no control how others post but only on how you respond. by that we will judge if you are a true minister of Christ or a one who is as you said deceived and decieves others. have no clue which you are cuz i just read this post.

2. you too have false doctrines and understanding of the bible and world that God must correct. ( i don't know what they are but it is human nature to be wrong and in need of a savior and daily renewing of the mind) are you humble enough to admit it?

if you are arrogant, mean spirited and too prideful to hear rebuke or correction then your wisdom is not of God but of the world and demonic in nature because God's love is first PURE and then kind, patient and willing to yield.

i am sure as a minister you know the Bible verse i am referencing.

Hi HisMinister7,

They are just trying to tell you that you are coming on too strong. At least while nobody knows anything about you. Instead of trying to be everyone's fixer, try listening (or reading if you will) to some posts.

Yours,

Deade
I'm not on here for "trolls" (who post thousands of hate-filled posts).

I started this thread so that Godly men and women could help by directing those who have questions ... to the appropriate scriptures.

". At least while nobody knows anything about you."

Those who seek help will decide for themselves who they trust. Will they trust those who are filled with venom??? Or will they trust those who point them to Scriptures that help them, and do so with LOVE???

Nobody needs to know ME. It's not about ME! It's about God's Word! And I'm not trying to be everybody's fixer. I'm here to help those who ask for help.

MOST responses have been so un-Christlike that it would cause a casual viewer to wonder if they'd accidentally logged into a Satanic web site. Sad!!!

Previously, I'd been very successful in the aircraft industry, but when The Lord dealt with me about "His Calling" ... like Jesus' disciples, I dropped my profession to follow Him.., and enrolled in Bible College. (More than 40 years ago.)

Afterwards, I flew some of God's choicest ministers to their engagements and watched, learning from them. (I guess a person might call that an apprenticeship, of sorts.

most of the choicest ministers i know walk to their engagements...no car much less plane.

ps Lynn is in her 60

however i am only 35 but God tells me through Paul's word to Titus to not let anyone despise me because of my youth. He calls all His people to be ministers.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:26-28)

This scripture is often inaccurately quoted or taken out of context. It applies ONLY when people:
1.) Pray in the Spirit (Pray in Tongues)
2.) Love God
3.) Are called according to HIS purpose
i pray in tongues but i pray also that all who do pray for intepertation for it is better to speak 5 words with understanding in church than 1000 in tongues.

praying in the spirit is not just in tongues but also by our groans and moans that the HOLY SPIRIT interprets for us.....

so far, you are looking like a shiny Armani clad preacher.

Is there such as thing as a half gospel minister?

yep he is called a minister of Satan...like when Satan twisted scripture to try and get Jesus to jump off a mountain.

Using your logic ... we needn't obey ANY Scripture because none was written to us!!! Hogwash!!!

Such foolishness

I only quoted the "Word". The fact that you choose to distort the Scriptures and nullify them is sad.

Perhaps you'd be happier by insulting others ... on other threads. Oh .., I see you've already thought of that!!!

This thread was meant to bless people, and not so malcontents could spew their venom on others.

Please ... go make your sarcastic comments elsewhere. I'm not going to further dignify your silly rantings.
So you repudiate proper contextual interpretation of Scripture with vitriol?

"Matt. 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath."
What does this verse mean?

all you need is the faith of a mustard seed and it will grow into a tree that gives shelter to the weary and downtrodden.

however if you are a fake white washed tomb and have not faith in Jesus but only in your own righteousness and self works and YOUR holiness, then you will lose what little peace and joy you can give in God to others.

that is what i take the scripture to mean

sorry for those who are confused by my many posts. reading and posting comments. i know i am late to this conversation.

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself (Himself) maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:26-28)

This section of scripture is speaking specifically about PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT (praying in tongues). It addresses the prerequisites for verse 28 to be fulfilled:

1.) PRAY IN THE SPIRIT (pray in TONGUES)
2.) LOVE GOD
3.) Be called according to God's purpose (that is, doing everything you know to do to obey God directions)

THEN, and only then, do we know that all things will work together for our good.
that scripture is not about praying in tongues. tongues are known languages sometimes folks pray in angelic language, the language spoken before the Tower of Babel. however paul says its better to pray for also understanding to know what you pray.

folks praying in angelic languages often catch the attention of fallen angels but no one want to talk about that.

So are you saying I an less a Christian or am lacking in knowlwdge since I do not pray in tongues?
i didn't think i prayed in tongues either until one day someone asked me after i prayed for them if i did it in Khmer. i thought i was praying in English but its not what they heard.

so i wouldn't worry about it. its all good as long as you pray and know that God hears and loves you.

It is NOT about praying in tongues and here's the reason why: "...groanings which cannot be uttered...". Tongues by definition are utterances, but these are communications which cannot (and are not) being uttered. They are communications from God the Holy Spirit to God the Father, but they are certainly NOT tongues, because they are applicable to ALL Christians. Since all Christians will not -- and do not -- speak in tongues, we should not introduce spiritual confusion where none exists.

This is speaking about situations where Christians are totally unable to express their distress or longings in words but the indwelling Holy Spirit knows exactly what is in the soul and spirit, and communicates those feelings to God the Father.
amen and amen!

i was starting to worry about this thread. going to keep reading.

"Prayer Language of Tongues"

this term is not found in the Bible and is a lie Satan has sold to some people to make them feel superior and better and more holy than other Christians.

I'm not saying that at all...

I was just addressing some misuses of Romans 8:28. Some have attempted to appropriate that promise without understanding that the verse begins with the word "And".

"And" is a conjunction. It connects what went before, with what comes afterwards. In this case, it connects "Praying in the Spirit (Tongues)" with the promise that the Holy Spirit will make intercession for the petitioner and the outcome will be "all things work for good". BUT ... three prerequisites exist:

1.) Pray in the Spirit (Tongues)
2.) Love God
3.) Be called according to HIS purpose

While you're no less of a Christian without speaking in tongues, Jesus commanded Christians to be Baptized in the Holy Ghost. (Luke 24:49)

Paul said he thanked God that he spoke with tongues more than anybody.

Why would anyone want to disobey Jesus? He called the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" ... being endued with "power from on high" (heaven).
this is the false belief that you can be Christian without being the "baptism of the Holy Spirit"

mostly because folks hold to a false gospel. i recommend reading John Wesley's sermon on the "Almost Christian"

i know some folks don't like him but he speaks to many who think they are christian but do not have the faith that saves.

some only have the faith that even demons have in God: that he exist and to be feared.

some have the faith that pagans have: that He is a Holy God and keeper of His law, Just and fair

Some have the faith of a mustard seed: they are unworthy sinners but God loves us so much He sent Jesus to save us. we don't know why He died upon the cross. we don't feel that we deserve His grace, but we trust and believe in His Holiness and Righteousness.

i don't know what kind of faith you have. just an observation that many claim to be Christians and people are like the false prophets of Israel say "Peace, peace" when God says "I did not come to bring peace but a sword to divide..."

I quote you: "Listen, I get you are a lonely old man." Such wickedness!!! That ANYONE who CLAIMS to be Christian would make such a "hateful statement...amazing.

That, plus your claim that retreating from the Holy Spirit ... brought you closer to God ... tells me all I need to know about you.
wow... the pentecostal movement is NOT the Holy Spirit.

i love a good pentecostal revival and have felt the Spirit moved in the few i have attended because friends have invited me.

true she was out of line to call you a "lonely old man" it is insulting.

however you need to repent also because you just accused her of turning away from God, and that is totally out of line.

folks have attacked me for pointing out the truth as i see it and you will probably hate my guts too. don't worry so do many on this forum.

however, i know those who have God's Holy spirit will be humble enough to pray and ask God and eventually we become great friends....sometimes it takes a few years.

there is a difference between being spirit filled and HOLY SPIRIT filled.

the man with LEGION was "spirit filled"

and even Satan quoted scriptures.

i am now going to go spend time under the shelter of God's wings and listen to my audio Bible and worship music because my soul is deeply troubled by the state of this world.

Don't waste it time here, if they cannot touch it, taste it, feel it, or see it they do not believe.

If you expect anything good from Him you have to suffer for it.

Check out the thread whining about how they valiantly best there crosses.
