Nope. The mind of Christ is the Holy Spirit within us. Otherwise, the responsibility of being conformed to His image is on us. Perhaps you could share with us how that is even remotely possible?
Oldhermit is Church of Christ...they do not believe in Spirit led initiation to conversion...that should tell you something..

I can see where you are coming from and that would be carnal if not for the Holy Spirit's residence within us.

Jesus is 'The Word Of God'. Scripture is 'The Word Of God'. Hence Scripture is the visible manifestation of Jesus until His return.

Ro 8:5-6
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
KJV

Jn 16:13-14
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
KJV

he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. Reading the bible without the Holy Spirit's influence will NOT make anyone Spiritually minded; but under the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we read Scripture we immerse ourselves in the things of Jesus; and the Holy Spirit reveals them to us.
How do we recieve the guidance of the Holy Spirit? Seems pretty important, right? You can't be spiritually minded without the help of the Holy Spirit.

It is more than just important, it is critical. It is impossible to be able to reason spiritually apart from the Holy Spirit.

How does a flesh and blood person become spiritually minded? Once a person does become spiritually minded how do they continue to be spiritually minded?

(Romans 8)
Hello Grandpa
I think that a worldly person would not and even if they wanted to they could not be in a relationship with GOD because GOD is a spirit and must be worshipped in spirit and truth.

A person that has not been reborn can not clean the inside of themselves, only GOD can do that.

what I am saying is that they would have to be born of the spirit and after they are born of the spirit then if they remain alive and in the body here on earth they have to do what Paul said and renew their minds to the new creation they have become so that they can prove that good and perfect will of GOD.

Someone might say well how do you do that?

you have to look in the spiritual mirror(bible)and believe what GOD says more than looking into a physical mirror and trusting it more than what GOD says.

IE
A person trusting a physical mirror might look in the mirror and see a mole on their face and say is that cancer
A person looking into the spiritual will see where it says by his stripes we were healed.

the person looking into the physical mirror is looking at the outward man and trusting in their senses while the person looking in the bible is looking at the truth and trusting the WORD of GOD and faith pleases GOD.

As some have already stated, being born again is necessary to being Spiritually minded. It is not a mystical trance or daze that we walk around in. Passages like these below are what help me to walk by the Spirit, constantly checking my thoughts, attitudes, words, actions and desires against the Word of God and stopping everything and submitting everything that is not in line with the will of God to the Holy Spirit. In doing this, we become conformed to Christ, sanctified and Spiritually mature.

Galatians 5
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

1 Corinthians 13
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

If someone does not desire to obey Christ, but would rather persist in sin. Then they may not actually be born again.
Saying a sinners prayer simply to avoid destruction will often times not result in anything.
You have to love what is good, hate that which is evil and truly desire to become like and follow Christ
