well basically it does nothing to edify anyone, and as a whole the topic and the thread is fairly meaningless. I mean what does she expect someone to do go blow it up so its 'pagan'-ness know longer sits off our shoreline?
seriously this thread serves no discernible reason....
LOL , blow it off...no, I would consider that extreme :)
Well, alot of the threads are just to inform something and start a discussion about it...I don't see why we can't discuss it respecting each other. I see many threads that I could consider pointless and not edifying in here...but...wait this will sound crazy...... we could...we could.... talk about it respectfully. There, I said it.

Well we are asked to worship Him in spirit and in Truth.
Knowing where things come from is important as to discerning what is pleasing to Him or not. Yes the statue is a symbol of american freedom and liberty. And yes it does have pagan origins. The best thing for any Christian to do at this point is understand the origins and that this world we live in is fallen.
I've actually heard the "horns" of the Statue of Liberty represent sun beams, which are additional pagan worship issues, mainly the worship of the sun god.

It is always good to know the origins of things we experience in everyday life. It serves as a way for us to recognize what is not of God and what to turn away from in life. To come out of the world and follow the truth of the Word :)

Pagans utilized speaking, walking, burning incense, and candles in their worship. Should we refrain from using those in worship and everyday activities?

I made a valid observation, that you characterize me as hateful is unimportant. I don't care what you're sick of. I could go into graphic detail about the errors of the Catholic Church, but you can watch the news like everybody else and close your eyes or don't, it's not my problem.

I didn't say you are a hateful person, but you are being hateful towards Catholics. I don't agree with a lot of the doctrine of the Catholic Church, but that doesn't mean I should be rude towards them. Although their doctrine may be in correct I believe they are Christians. I mean just about any denominations has doctrinal errors whether we want to admit it or not.

Well, I'm happy you've open my eyes to this whole Statue of Liberty thing. I should be more aware of the monuments and what-nots of this world.

Gosh, I thought this website was free of rude people.

I happen to live in the US, I'm just not American.

I'm only posting info I have found.

Yes, I know the statue of Liberty is an icon of freedom and the United States, but does it not show an exact likeness to the Pagan Goddess Libertas from Babylon?

The Pagan meaning of the burning torch is a symbol of Lucifer.

The statue was even built by a Mason.

You know, it's a satanic Pagan statue, representing all the Pagan symbolism.
haven't read the whole thread katy.
of course you are right.

the TWIN TOWERS were joachin and boaz. also masonic.

Libertas was a Roman goddess not a Babylonian goddess... Just saying.
Well fundamentalists assign them all to Babylon to try and mesh them with the Apocalypse of St. John the Divine.
