I will love them freely,
For My anger has turned away from him.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]I will be like the dew to Israel;

Thank you for this post, I'll keep a copy in my files.

An interesting way of looking at this is called the Duality of Reality. It is the idea that reality is but a shadow of the spiritual. For instance, the lood laws were to point out spiritual facts. Or, God created light on the first day, a spiritual light, but God created the sun on the fourth day.

Throughout the bible God uses our physical world to teach us about the spiritual.

I wouldn't say the Lord's day equals the sabbath...

The sabbath is what I kept with Lord everyday in Christ, for He alone gives me rest in Him.

The Lord's day is simply the day or any day we gather together to worship our Triune God

I would also suggest that Israel is a name for Christ. Israel is the antitype to Christ. For Christ did what Israel couldn't.

From Wiki, Israel is a Biblical given name. The patriarch Jacob was given the name Israel (Hebrew: יִשְׂרָאֵל, Standard Yisraʾel Tiberian Yiśrāʾēl; "Triumphant with God") after he wrestled with the angel (Genesis 32:28 and 35:10) The name already occurs in Eblaite and Ugaritic texts as a common name.[SUP][1][/SUP] Commentators differ on the original literal meaning. Some say the name comes from the verb śarar ("to rule, be strong, have authority over"), thereby making the name mean "God rules" or "God judges".[SUP][2][/SUP] Other possible meanings include "the prince of God" (from the King James Version) or "El fights/struggles".[SUP][3][/SUP] "The Jewish Study Bible" of Oxford University Press says on page 68 "The scientific etymology of Israel is uncertain, a good guess being '[The God] El rules.'"[SUP][4][/SUP] Jacob's descendants came to be known as the Israelites, eventually forming the tribes of Israel and ultimately the kingdom of Israel, from whence the name of modern day Israel.

Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names, uppity as ever, renders He Will Be A Prince With God.

This sounds wonderful, so pious and makes common sense. However, it isn't what the bible says and the bible is the word of God.

Think again please.
[h=3]Hebrews 4[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]The Promise of Rest[/h]4 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them,[SUP][a][/SUP] not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:

“So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest,’”[SUP][/SUP]

although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. [SUP]4 [/SUP]For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; [SUP][/SUP] [SUP]5 [/SUP]and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.”[SUP][d][/SUP]

[SUP]6 [/SUP]Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, [SUP]7 [/SUP]again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts.”[SUP][e][/SUP]

[SUP]8 [/SUP]For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. [SUP]9 [/SUP]There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
